That's amazing - well done! I'm half way through building a Nieuport XI but given my lack of precision skills doubt it'll ever be safe to fly.... So congratulations on the build and on the courage to take it up!
all the old bi-planes were very deceiving as they looked so calm and peaceful from a distance but being in the planes,it was anything but tranquil.rushing winds, often very cold and the vibration was what you dealt with constantly not to mention some enemy planes coming after you.nice vid, thanks for posting as it give people a better understanding of these planes as they were everything but a walk in the park.
What an awesome aircraft. How exciting it must have been back in the day when these aircraft were brand new to aviators. It had to have been one of the most exciting jobs on the entire planet at the time, especially for skilled aviators who could fly these machines as they were intended to be flown.
'Talehow'- great ride! Video's like yours really force us to reconsider what the original WW! pilots had to endure, master and survive every time they went Up!
Congratulations. It’s seems that the balance is very rear, look at the position of the elevator during initial climb. Take care of instability and risk of unwanted spin.
Dein Cousin Urs.
What happened here is this - the poor man you see flying the plane went to the local airline and asked for a ticket to fly on a plane to Paris. But when he found out what the price was, he asked for something less expensive, so they gave him this...... (just kidding - wonderful video!)
A real live rotary!
Love that rotary engine sound especially the mag cuts

I find it very interesting how small the rudder surface area is... amazing.
it is small but very effective, since the hole surface is rudder ....and very instable :-D
Herzlichen Glückwunsch zu eurem Maiden! Grandios! Seit über 20 Jahren seid ihr dran. Wow! Das nenne ich Leidenschaft. Weiter so!
Beautiful aircraft. Filmed in an atmospheric way... Thank you.

Don't forget most of this old engines spreading lots of castor oil everywhere, even in the pilots face.
Gratulation zu dieser tollen Leistung!!!
danke!
Wonderful flight ! congratulations on building such a fine aeroplane with a rotary engine too.

Bravo, Isidor von Arx, you are a marksman!
Und alles ohne Fallschirm - Gratulation.

Nieuport 21 one of the greatest and nicest plane ever build a huge thank you to you guys! happy new 2022 year !
Bravo Isi und Team, super Büez! Viele tolle Flüge, ein "Schweizer" Flugzeug mehr am Himmel!
Herzlichen Glückwunsch !!!! Hammer Leistung!!! Meinen grössten Respekt!!!!
Nothing else in the world like flying an airplane that you built for the first time. 👍🏻
Thank you for that flight!I felt like I was there!
The men that flew those in combat had a steel pair to be sure!
Super, herzlichen Glückwunsch zu diesem gewaltigen Projekt-Schritt! Good job!
Outstanding! well done to all concerned!

Congratulations on a job well done. Beautiful Nieuport 23C-1.
Very welcome sir.
Magnificent! Well done Isidor
Grandios! Herzlichen Glückwunsch an alle.
Congratulations Nieuport Memorial Flyers!!!!!
That engine has a lot of torque!! It was surprising to watch the airframe flex as you flipped the blip switch on and off.
Excellent flying :)
A lovely elegant little aeroplane, it now seems incredible that people went to war in these!
Very well done with your project?👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Excellent flying ..beautiful plane..
Congratulations. It’s seems that the balance is very rear, look at the position of the elevator during initial climb. Take care of instability and risk of unwanted spin.
fully aware of this. we try to shift weight for next flight but probably it is a rigging issue or we have to reconstruct the stabilizer
@@isitheaviator ok well, if the balance is ok, can be the inappropriate angle of the stabiliser . Good continuation 👍
Mine grössti respekt
Sehr schöön das alles klappet het :D
Well done! Totally seat of your pants flying in a machine like that!
Absolutely fantastic

very cool to see it flying

I find it surprising how much "down" elevator is required in most phases of flight.
Was that motor missing or was it supposed to sound like that?
it has to sound like that, since I control it with the blip switch (cut ignition) at lower rpm
Mann! ?!?
absoluter Oberhammer!!!
Congratulations! that's awesome 😍💪
Is that Voss Turn at 1:20?
normal left turn 😀
Gratulation!
Allen key tapped on...in flight repairs??
Huh?
Megageil! Chapeau 👌
wooow !!!! do toy have PDF?
Beautiful. Congratulations on a successful maiden!!
Is throttle controlled by ignition on/off?
Where did you get the rotary? Did you use a more modern airfoil? Is it full scale?
rotary is a secret ;-) , plane is 100% built from Rozendaal plans, even the concave airfoil
...Well Done!...

Bravo !
Sweet! Is that a standard Rotary or a gnome Rotary? Like being in the wind on a motorcycle but in 3D! Piece of flying history no doubt.
A license built Le Rhone rotary.
awesome!
Toll! ;-)
