Bruder Cat Telehandler RC Conversion EP15 Boom Ram Travel Limit Switches

The boom ram is a screw jack that has the maximum and minimum length controlled using 2X SPDT micro roller switches. A cam ring attached to the boom arm activates the appropriate switch (normally closed, push to open), disconnecting power to the M4 threaded gear motor. Power is allowed to pass in the reverse direction via a 1N4148 diode bridged across the switch contacts. The motor reverse turns, the cam ring returns the switch back to normally closed and by-passes the diode, allowing power to pass in both directions.
