Good interview. Thank you, Graham Davis, for being more understanding and certainly less condescending than some of your colleagues.

    ANGLO-SAXON WORLD vs FIJI
...essentially, this is what the fuss is all about. Yes, Fiji's erstwhile colonial masters just can't let go of yet another of their former areas of influence. No doubt both the UK and the US would rather maintain closer ties with Fiji by pressuring the Aussies and KIwis to do all they can to maintain the links. But forcing Fiji to hold an Election now makes no sense whatsoever given the successions of elections and coup d'etat in recent years since Independence.

If this guy is so good like some of you say, why does he need to censor the media?

    Further...
.....Mr Bainimarama, I feel, is the right person to take Fiji forward. We only have to look at Britain's former colonies in Africa to realise the mess they have been left in. Many of these countries have massive oil reserve, gold, diamond and iron ore; and yet most of their citizens live in abject poverty. British and foreign companies are systematically looting the whole of Africa. And this is exacerbated by corruptions and coups after coups by the Africans themselves. NO NO

Bainimarama may have had good intentions when the coup was staged, but it is clear now to the international community that his aim to end discrimination in Fiji is merely a distant dream. He has taken no steps towards reforming Fijian society or implementing a democratic system. There is something very wrong with that!

    @ codfj...
you do sound like a sad and sick individual. Please, if you have something sensible to say, do so, this is the forum for public comments on just about any subject you care to name. People may not agree with your views but being abusive says more about your personality than the people you're trying to demean.

He can have good reasons, But the international community doesn't think so, EU,South Pacific Forum, US,NZ,AUS all oppose his current regime, now he's kissing China's ass and accepting loans from them, China see's it as a mutual friendship, but Frank see's it as something else, Fijians - Indo-Fijians relationships are strained at a political level which is understandable because it's the Fijians country. Fijians/Kai Dias have "Vei Maliwai" on a non political level.
