You can hear IV's screams being overlayed in some parts, especially for The Summoning and Vore.
I love how they change genres when you least expect it. Gutted I can't get tickets for their gig in London😢, although this 53 year old grandma might have looked a bit out of place 😂

I didn't get a chance to see them this last US tour but bet your ass I'm going to next year when they come, even if I have to rent an RV. I’m a 52yo and absolutely love this band. My 34yo son and 17yo daughter love them too. If they come to the US for a tour the three of us are definitely going. I can’t even imagine what they are like live.
You are the first person I have heard reference Doom, I swear their drops are heavily influenced by the Doom soundtracks, even some of the atmosphere stuff. I posted on Reddit that I think Vessel is a big gamer, there are tons of references not just the Elden Ring looking art from this album. My biggest tin foil hat theory is that ascensionism is based on the Mass Effect 3 song Leaving Earth piano wise. I dont care to know a lot about the band themselves, but I would love to know if Vessel based stuff off games.

Back in January, when this track dropped, a shitload of reaction videos appeared out of nowhere to escalate ST to where they are now, but at the same time, one of the reactors coined the genre Babymaking metal. And it stuck
So sad yesterday was so busy I never got around to getting on RUclips. I absolutely love watching people react to this song as it dances between genres and throws out changes and just blends...and then hits the funk after the interlude and you see people's brains just freeze up/pause and then they groove. Its such a stellar sneak attack. I've adopted your phrasing of Vessel playing with his legos and building his songs when I talk to other people. He threw out all of the instruction manuals and just started his own thing following his own rhythm and dance. This album is my AOTY. Maybe of all time for how it much it does in 12 songs...and how I can listen to it from start to finish each time. Another awesome react and analysis at the end!!

Man the first time I heard this song I was gobsmacked. Song goes heavy, then heavier, then sort of lighter, into a guitar solo, back into super heavy, into the fuckin atmosphere, and then… into the funk/club? Jesus Christ talk about your head spinning. Immediate interest! This was the first song I heard of theirs and immediately had to know everything about them I could. Imagine my surprise when I found *LORE* behind them. Then I learned they preferred anonymity and I have, and will, continue to respect that. After that, I went back to the beginning just like you. It’s been quite the journey!

The song that got everyone pregnant 🤣. It's just an absolutely clever and dynamic song that holds its own weight. Im a huge Maynard James Keenan and his bands because of how brilliant and wildly different they can be. Each band has it's own distinct sound and belongs in seperate genres but still being of Maynard's mind. Now, Sleep Token comes in and, instead of making side projects they found this insane way to bring genres together while still being true to the image of Sleep Token.
Then end bit where everyone expects the song to go heavy and we end up in a bluesy funk place, your reaction was so satisfying. A moment of consed WTF to grooving!!!

They trickled out Granite, Aqua Regia, and DYWTYLM from the album afterwards before the big release. So you can probably imagine the crazy thirst and anticipation we all had hearing this before the whole album was out

I remember leaving a comment like a week or so ago on I think it was your "The Love You Want" reaction, talking about how between albums two and three absolutely everything evolved in Sleep Token's music, from Vessel's vocals and writing to the overall musicianship. If you thought This Place Will Be Your Tomb was great, it's kind of hard to imagine how they evolve from that album to this one without just hearing it. Now that you're experiencing it, I hope it takes you to the same place it's taken millions of other listeners. I feel like Sleep Token were fairly under the radar before they started dropping tracks from Take Me Back To Eden at the start of this year, and this one album alone has garnered so much deserved attention and is so many peoples album of the year.
