Anthony Head is wonderful. Lovely speaking voice and tone. This is one I've missed. Nice to be read to! Far far to many adds. One every 15 mins should be enough. Most adds are patronising and nauseating too!
Sincere thanks for identifying the theme music. I’m old enough that I remember this music from my childhood. It was wonderful to listen to the full score played by the BBC orchestra. Thanks again. 😊😊💐💐
I had no idea these were books. I always understood they were written as radio shows. I love them (despite how formulaic they are). Interested in seeing how it is presented without the necessary on the nose exposition the radio requires. Thankyou so much for making it available!
Thought i had heard all the paul temples, but nope, just discovered this little gem, only disappointment is that its a reading rather than a drama/play, but no complaints. Thank u so much for uploading. Have a pat on the your back lol 😁
Guess I am spoiled by the other recorded voices in this series. The narrator has a wonderful voice but is not using it effectively in this reading. Not enough differentiation between male and female nor energy.
I'm sorry. I loathed this Paul Temple. There is a totally unnecessary drowning of a cat. I didn't feel at all involved in the story. I know that about 36 radio play episodes were lost and 50ish survived. I guess this story was one of the lost. I wouldn't mind this one being lost. I wouldn't have wanted to read this, either, professionally. Seriously depressing and joyless. I don't think the huge number of adverts helped, either. I think it was one advert at least every 10 minutes! No blame to the uploader. I don't think there is any warning of the cat death. And one of the deaths is dwelt upon in too much detail, for me. I shouldn't have stayed until the end. By the time of the last death, I just wanted to have it finished. Oh grief. 8 more minutes... Now I shall beat myself up, telling myself I should have cut my losses an hour ago - more. I shall try another Marjorie Westbury and Peter Coke play. I just can't imagine them performing this as a play!
Iv listened to these drama's over and over!! This one is new to me, the others are fully dramatized! This lone reader is Great!
Yes he is great at reading these stories. He has done others
Too many ads
Anthony Head reads this I believe....he's a very busy actor as well...both here and in the U.S...

And don't you just love The Coronation Scot theme music...time to settle down and listen to the fab duo!! xx

Nah, Coronation Street theme was TOTALLY diffrent.
@@cacambo589 oh you silly goose. The music is Coronation Scot. Written in the 1950’s to celebrate King George… look it up in Wiki.
@@auntyJanette 100% correct Aunty👍🏴
Great performance. Thanks.

I miss the Paul darling, darling, darling, oh Paul, yes darling. Darling? yes darling ... and on and on ...
Me, I thought I had heard them all too, but this is a new one to me.
Oooooh new one on me. Can't wait to get stuck in.
Thank you
Lovely voice.😘
Thanks for uploading 🤩
And not just a narrator, Anthony Head from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Too many ads making it unlistenable, it’s a pity but every 3 minutes is ridiculous. Listening and watching less and less RUclips because of this
It's 3 quid a week for premium, no ads at all ever.
Great upload but you need to change the title - this is not from the radio series, it's an audiobook.
It's still Paul Temple and the Kelby Affair though..
@@martas9283 Never suggested it wasn't. Stating "Paul Temple Radio Series" is misleading as tot he actual content.
Spoiled by too frequent ads. Two in the first 7 minutes? Ridiculous.
Agreed!! So many advertisements.
Only grip..to many commercials, every 5 dang minutes!!
This is hilarious! None of this sort of humour ever made it into the radio series.
Incessant advertising!
Shame about the advertising
I don’t listen to lone narrations. I’ve been spoilt by the full cast dramas.
Advert every 5 mins is just greedy.. gave up
I gave up on this and listened to stories about Sherlock Holmes.
Excessive ads. Disruptive.
Guess I am spoiled by the other recorded voices in this series. The narrator has a wonderful voice but is not using it effectively in this reading. Not enough differentiation between male and female nor energy.
Beautifully read I thought.
Yes so did I, nothing to be disappointed about
Too much advertising. Put the ads between the chapters rather than interrupting the program
4*
