I am SO glad I was able to watch these when all of this great comedy was happening. I could just see Gilda doing all of those Roseann Rosannadana physical comedy she did as she did her "news reports". ❤
This era was when SNL was creative, inventive, current and hysterical. Except for a few memorable performances since, SNL should have been thrown on the scrapheap years ago.
Both were great comedians back then, unique in style, all along SNL is the greatest TV show to this day people can watch for free. Well wishes to all comedians.
Still getting mileage out of "looked like Woodstock" and "birds in your mouth" after all these decades. I've got an old cassette in a drawer with this one from back when it aired.
The funniest one was the skit about UFOs and RD seeing a "rectal eclipse" driving down past an outdoor drive-in. Hilarious. SNL never showed THAT one again. I had tears in my eyes.
I don't get most modern humor at all. But Gilda Radner and company at SNL are still just as funny to me as they were back in the latter half of the 70's. What a shame Gilda left us too soon.
OMG, I miss Gilda, Jane, Dan, John, Steve and Bill. They were so funny. Even Chevy in that 1st season was a scream. RIP Gilda, John and Phil Hartman. They all left way too soon.
I knew a person who ate spinach and it got lodged in the back of the teeth. He freaked out and thought it was a decaying tooth. So he went to a dentist and it just goes to show you …. If you don’t go to the dentist your teeth will fall out. Would be a good skit for the super Roseanne
@@johnbrowneyes7534 Don't sweat it, when something is this good having the video or not having the video doesn't detract all that much from the enjoyment. Thank you for putting this here so we can remember a truly wonderful and funny lady.
It’s just something about the way she delivers her lines, and the catchphrases - the taglines. “What are you trying to do, make me sick,” “I thought I was gonna die,” “it’s always something.”
She was and always will be one of my favorite characters 😂

Gilda Radner was hysterical.
Timeless and priceless. She was phenomenal.
I always anticipated her skits on SNL, she always gave me a laugh, sorry 😔 she passed away so soon, RIP, Gilda, you will always be remembered.
The best SNL performer, the best SNL years!
Gilda was the BEST of SNL. It's 2022. NO ONE has matched Roseannadanna!
RIP 🕊🌹Queen🌹
Eddie Murphy
@@shadrach6299 Nope. Gilda.
Just love her and sadly missed ... GONE way to soon .
We've lost such a DIAMOND in the Entertainment Industry.
If you can't see Jane Curtin's reactions, you're missing half of this sketch.
Gilda was genius. May she RIP
Sooo funny!! Thank you for this awesome memory! 💖
Gilda Radner was once in a lifetime
I love Jane c. She's so coool
I had a huge poster of her on my wall as a teen. She was my inspiration. I miss you so much!!
This was great! I hadn't heard it before. Thank you.

Not a single one from today’s SNL can do the outstanding work from this decade.
Agree!!!!!!!
i miss this cast so much
Truth and the original casr
I remember watching this as a teen and laughing my head off. LOL
I vaguely remember tge exchange between Jane Curtin and Roseannadanna. That was the funniest part, watching Jane's reaction to roseannadanna.
I remember this being broadcast. Can't believe it's been 40 years, nor that Gilda could be gone so young.
The host was OJ Simpson.
If Amazon starts selling time machines let's start a go fund me page and buy 1. Maybe there's a cure for what Gilda died from and we could save her !

My all time favorite.

the not ready for prime time players were outfreakinstanding, and gilda and jane together was magic.
I saw the show in the studio once. The looks Jane gave her were so funny!
I could barely keep it together without the video. No wonder they didn't put the actual video on!
LOL

Yes! And the very first RR sketch was funny in January 1978.
Go Blue. One of the best, Gilda. We all miss you. God Bless you dear!
I pray she has a catalog of “It’s ALWAYS SOMETHING(S)! Waiting for us💜🙏🏻

Vintage SNL humor was so much more clean
SNL isn’t what it was back in the 70s. It should have bit the dust years ago.
Don’t make them like that anymore 😅
love it
they just don't do it like this anymore. they just dont
Fucking classic. She was brilliant and fun to watch. Gone too soon 4 sure.
It's too bad Gilda is no longer "with us" Nowadays, she would have found a TON of "It's ALWAYS SOMETHING(S)!
Love Roseanna, she so dame funny.
Them were the good old days of SNL with Rosannadanna and the sumarai burger flipper.
These were my favourite SNL year with John Belushi too.
Oh Lord. 😂😂😂😂
♥️

Just to freaking funny..
Where's the video???
Yes I’m good have liked to of seen the video to it as well
Sat here LMAO JUST LIKE THE FIRST TIME I SAW THIS… that’s when the show was the greatest! Loren Mann should have kept it that stupid way!!
Great
watch SNL now and you can see how far down it went, soooooo sad
Why cannot others learn from this ⁉️
what, no video?
An excellent example of the old adage...
_"If you can't dazzle them with Brilliance, baffle them with 🐂💩."_ 😁
Is this PowerPoint?? I thought it was a video.
Lol. Sorry I don't know how to upload DVD videos yet.

the origonal video is much more gooder
Why is this audio only?!
What happened to Mr. Richard Fader? Was he sick?
He was the man who always wrote to RR.
Sound only. What happened.
Sounds like a winning model 💜
LMAO
Funny!
🏆👀
When SNL was funny.
Yup
Back when SNL was funny, long, long ago.
Pete says "hi"
blondie....
Back when SNL was actually funny
No video just audio

This is cringier without the screen. I can't watch that little piece of spit right on her lip..
What's so funny about goofy hair and being loud and obnoxious?
