The more I watch Kitchen Conundrums, the more I love Thomas Joseph! You're great at explaining and you have some such useful tips and tricks! Thank you!!
Finally Thomas, I have a question for you. I'm 60 and have been cooking since I was 12. Other than salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder, I have no idea which herb to use for what! I think you are amazing Thomas!
The pesto varieties you make sound great. I can't wait to try them. Thank you.
One more pesto tip: After you've frozen your pesto overnight in ice cube trays, transfer them to a tightly sealed freezer bag. They'll keep for months.
This is so helpful, thank you. The four kinds of pesto sound fantastic too, definitely going to try the mint one this week!
I liked this!
Thank you so much the last tip is life saver, I used to dry mint it the are and cover it with towel on a large plat and steer it every couple hour for five days maybe, this tip is so much fast than this old school method
I followed your directions for drying the herbs... and I was sooo happy to see that it worked! Yay! Thank you so much for this video =)
I'm going to try this with chives when they grow in the garden next spring. Can't wait!
I love this episode. Thanks Thomas
Thank you ! it is very smart way to save money.
What about dill, I never seem to use it up as well.
I use it for my potatoes, meats, falefa and than I'm still left with a bunch..🤔🤔🤔🤔
great tips, thank you so much!
Thanks 🇨🇦
I grow basil at home - that’s my storage plan. My two plants produce more basil than I can ever use so I give a lot of it away. Cheers!
Thomas is adorable!
Thomas, thanks so much for this video. I have loads of lemon thyme in the garden and can't seem to use it fast enough. I love the fact I can microwave it to preserve it for longer storage/use. Oh thank you so very much. Really ppreciate all of your helpful tips! :-) The Mrs.
i really love this show! So happy it's here! Thank you!
I love this!
So do fresh mint leaves and dried mint leaves taste the same? For instance when submerging it into a tea
Cilantro pesto looks excellent!
i love you so much 4 sharing this......
I like method 1 the best though method 3 works great for the herbs used.
My issue with method 2 is if you don't not want a pesto, this doesn't really help preserve the herbs.
Thanks for the tips!
Thats pretty fantastic! i had no idea that you could dry out herbs using the microwave!
Great video but I have a question though.. I work in a restaurant and I am wondering wether cutting butter using hot or warm water on the side to warm the knife before cutting butter is a good technique.
This guy is clearly... really... really............. happy.
please do share how to use herbs in different kinds of dishes... please do!!
My country is not the home of spices and herbs... and we have dried herbs here... i hope i could learn how to use some like rosemary, thyme, basil.. etc
Awesome! Loved this one, very helpful. Thank you.
Useful
Love it! Great tips!

I agree AWESOME‼️ Thank you❗️ 👍😊🍀😊🍀
very helpful! I'm going to try that mint pesto for sure.
This conundrum on mine was solved baby! :D thank you
Hmmm🤔 I don’t know about drying my herbs in the microwave. I don’t use microwaves, my uncle who’s always been a healthy eater died from cancer his Dr said bc he ate too much food heated from the microwave. Ever since then I don’t use microwave, I literally threw mine away. I either heat over the stove top or if I’m lazy I put it in the oven heat on a glass cooking tray. I like the freezing pesto small cubes idea better. I’ll try that instead. Thanks for sharing...
omg microwaves dont cause cancer. dont turn into one of those people please.

What kind of magic microwave do you have that the metal tray didn’t blow up???
Thanks so much for this!! :)
I preserve my herbs by freeze them in plastic bags (after I wash them). I chop basil, parsley, dill, rosemary, thyme and put them in individual ziploc bags. not used for garnish, just cooking.
Can you in storing sugar? As I had stored it in a plastic container which gave it some kind of odour n finally it became moist n I had to dispose it off..
Could you please explain how to keep fried spring rolls crispy for about 3/4 hours?
When buying spices how do I ensure quality? great video
I have left herbs on the counter because I was too lazy to put them away and they dried up all by themselves. It didn't take very long at all to get them that way.
Am sure you and your husband really like these ....
Like a chutney.
what about using a dehydrator instead of microwave? I know microwave destroy a lot of value of the nutrients
yas
Are these twice a week now? Or random? I can't tell. Just curious.
Andhika Putra -- good catch. Thomas is now on twice a week, every Tuesday and Saturday morning!! Are you enjoying the new episodes?

Yay!!! That's a fantastic news. I absolutely love all the episodes.Thomas is just amazing 😍👌
I am, the tips and tricks are always super useful :)
What's the microwave setting?
Can you put all herbs in the microwave?
Valia Kikkidou as long as it doesn't overlap each other
Why not bunch up the herbs, hang them upside down, and let they dry out naturally?
I think that only works for 'oily' herbs and, depending on weather, might not happen soon enough.
🥰🍃
He's so handsome!
Oooooooooo.......... This video is for me.
Thomas is a tall glass of water... ;)
I bought fresh coriander and kept it in the fridge for more than a week.
Sure, it discolors, but the taste and aroma is the same.
I keep fresh parsley in the freezer cause I never use it as a garnish. I mix it in the food while its still cooking so no need for it to be fresh.
What about Dill???
This always go bad before my next use...☹️☹️☹️
How do you keep it fresh longer?
For dill, I line a container with paper towels then lightly dampen them by sprinkling on some water.
Place the fresh dill and top and cover with more dampened paper towels.
You can dampen them every other day or when they dry out.
Keeps for about a week and slightly more.
I don't know about drying dill, never tried it.
