Question; Why do you do the roll with ef#ede, instead of egde? Someone taught me that rolls use a third above the base tone. I would love your input, thanks!
Very nice!By the way. Do you have any video of an Irish tune with metronome?I wish I could practice Irish tunes I already learned with the metronome as a warmup practice. But I cannot do that without some examples.Or would you know someone who does?
Start with basics, do whole note with a metronome, after half, quarter, ... once youe see how it work practice your irish tunes with it. ^^ Usualy irish tune are pretty simple to work (most of time 2/2 or 6/8) so it's not like some classical or jazz song with irregular Time signature or some TS like 15/16 - 17/16 - 15/8 - ... thoses can't be trained with a standard metronome ^^

but.. I thought rolls on the first finger were made with the third finger, not the second. (I mean : 1-3-1-0-1 instead of 1-2-1-0-1 )
You cn use either finger. Depends on the Fiddler!
