@@DrivenCarReviews Maybe. But I've watched most all your videos since your NYT days, and you do excellently well. I am sure the cameo fly did not work at union scale--
It's the last normal-looking SUV I hope they don't screw up in the redesign for 2026. At $67k starting just go get a Mazda CX-90 Turbo S Premium Plus for $59-60K it is such a phenomenal vehicle. It is everything and more these Audi's are too expensive even a fully-loaded X5 costs less.
Very serious an exceptional order of the Audi SQ5,everything is fine l liked it a lot,but it is worth wishing to buy this Audi SQ5 at a good fair price.
SQ7 has fantastic engine V8 twin turbo but there are many negatives...... 3rd row is a joke...No storage spaces near driver / passenger......No physical buttons for AC, lots of screen means broken blank screen asks for replacement costs $$$$$ 😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜
I think the SQ is sharper when pushed hard. I was fortunate enough to drive them back to back on the same day. Whether people need/want/appreciate the difference is another matter. Especially considering the price difference.
The good? It offers up tighter u-turns and can improve handling. The bad? It adds cost and complexity. Here's a decent link that describes it in more detail. bit.ly/3AgNsiE
Q7: 0-60 in 5 seconds. "Audi claims a 1.5 second reduction in 0-60 times, so maybe under 4 seconds?" Um, 5-1.5=3.5, and you know that, stop playing games TV. 🤣
I have always though the styling of this car was the automotive equivalent of a dad joke. It just doesn't have even one gram of cool to it. But the drive is hard to criticize. I'd have the BMW over this in a heartbeat for the style.
@@mmadchef808 I don’t think the X5 is particularly flashy (unless you load it up with frog green paint and wagon wheels) but I’ve always looked at this Audi and saw a tarted up Dodge Caliber in the proportions. It’s van-ish and has the Hyundai front end. The Q8 though, looks awesome. I like the previous generation of this car too.
@@JBM425 BMW is very hit or miss. You're not wrong about products like the XM, or that ghastly X1 Coupe - but the X5 looks fantastic. The X1 is sharp and the X7 is cool too. (though I liked it better before the facelift).
You left out one important one: too much fun to drive. I test drove a couple and was “that close” to buying one. Ultimately I wound up postponing buying anything, but the Q7 was a blast to drive.
@@teacake6941 Keyword is "comparable". People who wants an SQ7 do not want a cheap looking/feeling EV9. I love my Twin Turbo X7 but if there was a good EV that can support 7 at The same luxury level, that would be game changer
@@DrivenCarReviews Honestly, Audi SQ7 is not as "spacious" as the X7 M50 which is the car I ultimately got when shopping. Yes, an Odyssey or Sienna would have been good, but the torque is too low to support 6 people, and luxury feel is non-existent. They do make for great vacation vehicles. The Escalade LYRIQ is not available yet for purchase yet, and it's too gauche, styling-wise inside and out
I take driving dynamics seriously; but I take $83k even more seriously. This is seriously getting out of hand. Also, 3-color cars (black, white, and silver) are dull and boring; but such is life on a (German) car lot these days. 😕
The grill is an unspeakable hash. When is the cheap looking shiny black plastic going away? “Baritone growl”? Try large animal flatulence. Crossplane V8s are just crude. Flatplane V8s are another story.
Nice cameo at 8:36! And, thank goodness for Mr. Voelk's professional grammar! "If there were a slow-moving RV. . . ." yes! None of that "was"---
Watch long enough and you'll see me slaughter grammar. But Mrs. Oberg my HS English teacher, would be happy I got this far.

3rd row is cramped. Love the power. I had one for a loaner.
Great review. Always appreciate your hitting the key points without fuss, frippery, or delay. High production value, as always.
We just picked up a matador red S-line with the V6 turbo. Fantastic vehicle all around. Just the best of all worlds for a family. Nice video Tom!
"Ferrying fashion forward families", I love it!
As always, thank you for your great work
Great review, to the point.
Is the Q7 color Waitomo Blue?
Yes, it is.
Great review Tom!
Thanks. Wonder why they don’t promote it at all, anyway really enjoy your practical, honest, no nonsense reviews.
Cool style, I really like it
★★★★★ (On the review THX!) Quality vehicles also.

Any chance you’ve got the Q4 with the recent updated queued up?
Nope. Sorry. Haven't seen it in the press fleet.
Some says the handling feel of sq7 doesnt really stand out from Q7, but merely just a normal Q7 with more HPs. Is that so?

...it steals your money. Both when new and again several years down the road when it needs maintenance/replacement parts.
$15 to change wallpaper is absurd

Well, Audi claims a 5.5 second 0-60 time with the V6 Q7 so there's that. Let the games begin.

Could not disagree more. I prefer the clean minimalist design. Way better than any over designed, trying to hard Lexus and BMW.

You say this as BMW becomes more garish looking rather than classy.

This rig is so old 🥱
No Costco toilet paper test - thumbs down!
Just how cheap is Audi - a car costing a 100K or more and you must pay extra to get visual configs for the entertainment system!?
Too expensive, too heavy, too thirsty, and too little cargo room. The only superlatives here go to the photography and presentation.
You left out one important one: too much fun to drive. I test drove a couple and was “that close” to buying one. Ultimately I wound up postponing buying anything, but the Q7 was a blast to drive.
Lots of cargo room and space for 5
It's safe car best handling very hard to rollover and best in the snow the only thing I love audi it's the handling
You are just too old for this car, you should get and Tahoe, Yukon or suberban

Bring on the Chinese vehicles. I'm sick of the overpriced unaffordable vehicles currently on the market.
Enjoy shopping at Wal-mart and Dollar General 🤣
The point about EV is interesting, but superfluous, as there aren't any EVs that are comparable to the Audi, as well as its competitions.
Audi literally has an ev that can take the same amount of passengers. Also the Kia EV9 can seat 7. Are you living under a rock or something?
e-tron is a 5 seater, but yeah, the EV9 and upcoming Ioniq 9. Also Escalade IQ if we're talking SQ7 money.

90 grand for a turbo V6 Audi. It looks really nice but not 90 grand nice. Isn't that cayenne territory?
90 grand is where the Porsche starts. And it only has two rows.
@DrivenCarReviews yup. VW group could be faulted for a lot but not pricing strategy across its brand stablemates
