That car will run forever especially if the previous owner took care of it. But I will say, and no offense, this is crazy that todays market has this valued at $7,000. It should be at most $5,000 especially with the damager it has. Enjoy the car and congrats on the purchase!
Yeah the prices have definitely bounced back up, but 7k out the door is current wholesale price in our area, plus tax, tag, title, & an oil change. Just wanted to switch it up & get something different to show people what’s realistically out there. Probably could of gotten it “cheaper” private sale. But it’s a pain to find a decent privately owned car these days. Everyone wants gold prices for crap lol
Look into the SUV version of the Camry as well if you want deals: the Highlander. If you look at later model year year V6 first gen highlanders under 7k you can get a lot for your money. 2nd gens as well if you're a little more flexible. Previous owner of my first gen put a carplay head unit in and a backup camera, I added a dash cam. Why buy new when the Camry platform works so well?
I bought my mother a 2013 Camry se for 13,000 four years ago and she loves it. The previous owner took it to the dealership regularly for everything.

This gen Camry does have the torque converter issue FYI…
It all depends on your area
What year is your Camry?
2013
A co worker bought one for 2,500 a few years ago, what a steal 😂
How about brakes/brake fluid and timing belt/ tensioner belt?
After 120k miles you have to do a big service on it
they have timing chains, should never have to change that
You can get 2 or 3 saab 9-5 Aeros with 7k. That's the best car for me
Hope you checked to see if the torque converter issue was taken care of with the Toyota TSB. Otherwise, that can be an expensive issue to remedy.
