It's a overall better experience of a upgrade upgrading any head unit is better than Factory. My requirement for all my head units is to be 10 band or 16 band equalizer that's just something personal for me. remember the head unit is the brains the amplifier is the heart the better the quality the better the music the more power that's why I tell people always put your money into your head unit stereo and your amplifier because those are what create and make the sound. you choose cheap you get cheap and always use certified brands s.e.a certified brands not boss or PB (power bass ) stuff like that is crap. The numbers on the box say one thing but the actual test results say another
I'd give anything to see what plugged in to where on the back of the unit. The GMOS LAN10 and ASWC-1 don't plug in to the unit do they? Just the harness, antenna, and USB?
@@ProvoBeastAudio I have one more question, will the wiring harness kit work for any after market head unit as well that has touchscreen. Wasn't sure if you were only talking about the dash kit, thanks
My 2017 Malibu display did not have the rectangular component/brain connected to my display. It's just the display. I only have a micro usb and one square, 10-pin connector. My display is made by Alpine. The aftermarket radio I bought has all the same connectors that your kit has, but none of them fit my application. Am I missing something? Are the connectors located somewhere else?
Will the LAN 10 harness work with a pioneer-AVH-120bt ??? Im guessing not because I do not have any where to plug in the 16 pin harness from the GMOS lan-10
Well the dash kit we used fits a standard double din chassis, regardless of screen size. Anything generally over 7” would have to be a float mount screen
I just bought a radio from a 2022 but I have a 2021 will it still fit? It’s the same part number that the dealership gave me but the one I found was to a 2022
why when you could have android auto and apple carplay? (assuming you have the radio that doesn't come with those from the factory which this car didn't.) i actually have the factory radio with android auto and carplay but if i wanted them to be wireless i could put a kenwood dmx809s in there (or some other cheap chinese head unit.)
Parts used linked in the description of the video!
What wiring would i need because nobody locally willing to devulge info. Some talking about an IQR code Im lost.

I have the same exact car and 7" infotainment and there's no way I'm doing this. That thing sticks out a good 4 inches. Looks horrible
Stock one is good, I could see if you wanted more tuning for speakers
Yea this does look horrible lol I thought about replacing it but after seeing g this it's a no for me lol
I skipped till the end and glad I did it looks bad😂
Is it not possible to change the older screen for the newer model screen in the Malibu? Like in the 2020 version ? I hate the bulky screen
What’s the main reason for the swap? Does it provide a better output for the speakers for sound quality?
Significant upgrade over factory. Power, audio quality, EQ, output, features, etc. Huge difference.

can you describe what two connectors you used? what happened to the box that's also inside?
Looks good bro great job

Will this kit work with other after market head units cause I'm thinking of going with a float screen on my 2017 malibu lt
This kit works with any standard size chassis radio, yes.

Very iffy on this… should I just used a lc7 or install a double din . I don’t want it to stick out like that tho
What is the cost of all that, including amplifier?
So no retaining Onstar?

What was the reason to "upgrade" I don't understand what's wrong with the stock one unless it's different than the 2022 I have
terrible audio quality, terrible user interface, terrible bluetooth functionality, etc. New radio fixed all those issues.
Will the LAN 10 harness work with a pioneer-AVH-120bt ??? Im guessing not because I do not have any where to plug in the 16 pin harness from the GMOS lan-10
Will this same setup but different radio work on a 23 Model Malibu? Everytime i put in 23 Malibu they say nothing for my car. Please help
Where is the factory amp located?
Question:
We can swap the 7" for the 8"?
the 8" looks much better.
Thanks!!!
Yes
is it possible or not?
Iwas wondering if you have the part # for the doors front and back speakers mounting moldings 2020 chevy malibu
Yes, those videos are linked in the description of this one. Each video has parts listed and lined for you in their respective descriptions.
@@ProvoBeastAudio one other thing, my sterio install was completely different from the one on your video on the malibu
I have a 2017 Malibu. I took the head unit out… disconnected everythingggfgf…. the music was still playing.
Aye bro how much is a stereo installation for a 2005 honda civic?
the video your using either the lt or ls model...will this work on the premier trim?
Also, can a bigger screen be used?
Also what will be the difference if I also have the bose system already
same
Did u retain the factory back up camera?
Yes he did. He explained what wire on the harness he used in other to keep the backup camera
Can you put a 22 in a 16 ?
Can you use a older model Pioneer double din head unit?
Any standard double din will work fine.
Will it work for a 2015 Chevy Malibu
No, as the 2015 Malibu as a completely different dash design
what would a shop charge for that exact install?
You'd have to call around. Shops generally also require you to buy parts from them as well.
Whats the biggest size aftermarket screen that will fit in a 2020 malibu?
Well the dash kit we used fits a standard double din chassis, regardless of screen size. Anything generally over 7” would have to be a float mount screen
@@ProvoBeastAudio whats a float mount screen?
Can you make one for the 2021 cts luxury?
It is not recommended at this time to replace the radio on a 2021 CT4 or CT5 as there is no aftermarket support for it.
Would This Work On 2016 Chevy Malibu LT ?
Yes
Can I retain my power locks and other vehicle settings that the factory radio has with the new radio?
Depends on the trim level, but we sure did.
I just bought a radio from a 2022 but I have a 2021 will it still fit? It’s the same part number that the dealership gave me but the one I found was to a 2022
Yes, it will still fit.
Awesome video!
Looks difficult
Now in China you may find the device which is more fit to that Malibu, with no need to make saw work.
Only thing is, the China radio bezels only fit the Chinese head units
just keep the factory radio.

@S B mine came with a 7 inch display? stock radio has android auto and car play so I'm confused by your message the 2016-2023 comes standard with it.
@@JimiGoesHAMmy malibu only comes with apple carplay, android auto doesn't works, malibu 2016 lt
@D3LAJC it Android Auto works in my 2016 LT. Corded of course
Only problem I'm having is radio reception is horrible, even stations in town get static.

It's hideous.
Makes me not want a Malibu now lol ♥
