Hari Om Good question. I was in a situation where I had to work to keep the family going. So I used to sit in front of the computer to work. One hand in keyboard and other on the eye lid to keep it open. I worked 8-4 and not after that. No screen time. The rest of my wake time was spent on meditation, relaxation, breathing, walking, dancing, neuroplasticity exercises. I couldn't spend time with family because the kids screams and talks were forcing me to shut eyes.

If the Dystonia came about with an accident or any other way, please see a doctor first. However, you can still get started with the basic meditation, Breathing, walking etc. Make sure to watch all the videos for education and apply the same principle to Cervical Dystonia. First work on eating slowly and try to keep eyes open. 2. At a different time, try to talk to someone and keep the eyea open. 3. When you've gained confidence and mastered these, slowly introduce the talking eating and keeping eyes open.

I have been suffering from my dystonia and BLEPHAROSPASM since 2014 , tried everything possible (except boutox injections) but to no avail. Now I am noting down all your techniques from earlier videos and trying them and they seem to be working. Does Dr Farias has any video or book on treatment of dystonia and BLEPHAROSPASM as I live in India and can't contact him otherwise.

Hari Om I’m so sorry to know you’re diagnosed of this. First of all, I would encourage you to take time and listen to all the videos. I never said yogic breathing alone cures the disorder. It’s a life change that I always speak of. Calming down, relaxation, meditation, breathing, right-left brain synchronization and neuroplasticity exercises. Everything goes together towards recovery. It’s a journey I emphasize on. On the path to recovery, you’ll rediscover yourself.

Hari Om You might get better in a couple of months. Or in a year and it all depends on how you take it, easy or stressful. You might want to talk to your professors and get some help on not being able to write at the moment. Or you might want to take a break. World won’t stop. Your health and recovery is first important.
