My husband loves raggy style quilts. This might make a great thin summer weight quilt for him! I love informal quilts that are to be used and loved over a fussy showpiece that gets stored or hung on a wall.
Our quilt group made a bulls eye Quilt but we started with the largest circle cut away some of the inner bulk and added the middle circle cut away bulk and added the smallest circle. Reduced the bulk quite a bit and turned out really neat. Can't wait to see yours completed Beth
I did the same ! Then, realized that, because I had cut out the excess carefully and evenly, I could make additional sqares with that material. Bonus ! !
Beth, just a thought. If you laid your smallest circle on the the largest circle trace around the smallest and cut out the middle you would have an extra small circle and reduce the bulk of the layers.
Love how it turned out. Can’t wait to see what it looks like after washing. I’m in the process of doing circles, but smaller to represent flowers. Never thought of cutting in 4. You are so creative and love all your scrappy ideas. ❤️😘🤗💕
I absolutely love this quilt Beth. So colorful and scrappy, my favorite kind of quilt. I’m in the middle of another project. When I’m finished I’m definitely going to make this quilt! Great tutorials!😊👍
I love this! I’ve never done a raw edge appliqué, so I will be curious to see how this turns out after washing. What a great way to make a scrappy I Spy quilt for little ones, too. Thank you for sharing, Beth!
Absolutely my favorite of every quilt you've made! Love it! I've made quilts for thirty years and sorted my scraps by color into bins. I'm going to pull circles from every color bin and make the most fabulous memory quilt! I will need to shop for a few neutral backgrounds...shop...yeah! I just watched you quilt and bind this treasure! Wonderful videos! Blessings, Dawn
I have a bunch of these blocks sitting in my sewing room. I was part of a block exchange YEARS ago and we did this block on yellow backgrounds. I should get them together. This may be the inspiration I need to get going :)
I love this Quilt ! I love that it’s scrappy, I love the different backgrounds and colors and that it’s going to fray, I love everything about it. Great Job Beth. ❤️❤️❤️ Chris
Have never seen a bullseye quilt & what a great way to use stash fabric! I have lots of 1 & 2 yard cuts I wonder why I bought with no pattern in mind...but this Bullseye quilt could be my solution! Thanks for great inspiration & technique!
Very interesting design and technique. Now you can print these 10" scrappy squares as fabric, to be sold as layer cakes! you have just designed a unique fabric! Thanks for sharing.
You have inspired me - I have so many novelty fabrics left over from I-Spy and other special quilts. I have to try this. This looks like a great stash buster since it uses so much fabric.
I'm working on hand quilting a quilt for one of my grandkids. I finally got to chance to sit down and watch you work. Thanks for posting this video! Very enjoyable!
Beth it's amazing for me to learn how to put this block together. Thank you so very very much. Do much life and do many things to do. I can take this with me and cut them up even while traveling then see them together later. It's beautiful.
Oh Beth! You have done it again❤️What a surprise this was. I saw this technique in a quilt shop a few years ago, I took picture for future reference. It was a flower design by someone named Heather French “French Rose”. Googled it and there were lots of designs. Thanks for the reminder. Also, since I have always has problems getting my quilts square, I have learned to always make blocks a little bigger just so I can use my “can’t do without” rulers to trim to desired block size. My tops come together so much better! I also now starch blocks a little after I trim and I love how they sew together. Love the look of your back ground fabrics!
Hello Beth, I made this bullseye quilt and I just love it!, I love all of your fun and simple to make quilts.. you inspire me! Thank you and God bless you!
I have never seen this pattern ( I've been quilting about 3 yrs) and I'm in love with it!! I get so excited when you post a new video, thanks for the inspiration and your joy of sharing❤❤
Thanks for the great video. I can’t wait to see how you quilt it and what happens after you wash it. I love the cow and horse fabrics you used. Thanks a bunch!
I loved your quilt . I saved a little fabric by sewing the largest circle on the square first , then cutting out from the back the background fabric only. Then I repeated with the next size circle and so on. I used the cutout circles in other blocks. I think I must have more time on my hands.❤
I love how you are creative and thrifty. I have made a similar quilt. My instructor directed me to topstitch down the largest circle, then trim the backing behind it. Next sew down the second largest circle, then trim the fabric behind, and continue in this way with each layer of fabric. What is trimmed from behind can be used for another smaller circle. There was very little waste, and the results were not bulky. You are currently my favorite quilt youtuber. Keep it coming.
Wow! Beth, I so enjoy and admire your creativity. And loved how you solved the problem of the bulk in the middle of the quarter circles. You’re a gem 😊❤️🇦🇺
I love the look of this quilt. It reminds me of a pattern I’ve seen that I didn’t try because it used expensive templates. I like how you use what you have and figure out how to make it work.
Hi, Beth. I love this quilt and want to make one myself. I can’t wait to see how it turns out. It’s funny that when you were showing the fabric you used I saw two that I have, the horse head fabric and the baseball fabric. I enjoy watching all your videos. Gail
What a cool idea! I am in the process of making a queen size quilt out of used men's dress shirts. I am wondering if you had washed this fabric before you cut it into circles. I am always afraid of colors bleeding. Can't wait for the next video!
What a fun quilt! Thank you for all the great ideas. I like the way you do your videos. We can see the process but you speed thru the parts we don't need to see in detail. Many others on RUclips skip details and others go too slow.
This is so cool. I've never seen a raw edge quilt. How fabulous. Beginner question time: what if you used pinking shears to cut the circles? That might reduce fraying, or is fraying the point? Thanks again for your inspiration. I'm going to start building the blocks of my current quilt. The pattern says cut all the fabric and then stitch, but I've been cutting all day! You give the best advice
I truly love this scrappy quilt. Colors or designs would totally change the overall feel. Good job. I am curious, you always use the smaller mm rotary cutter. Is this just your preference?
Beth, thank you for all your wonderful tutorials. I love that you don't use fancy rulers and templates. All of your quilts are all so beautiful. ❤️❤️
We love our Beth Shibley quilt! 😀
That makes me so happy 😍
I'm going to make potholders with this pattern!!
My husband loves raggy style quilts. This might make a great thin summer weight quilt for him! I love informal quilts that are to be used and loved over a fussy showpiece that gets stored or hung on a wall.
You could make it out of some of his old shirts.....
I do also
I am looking forward to see it washed!..Lots of fun! God bless! dot
Thank you. I like this. Now I know what to do with all the small scraps.
Love it! I love a good scrappy quilt, and you are truly a master at coming up w new ideas 😊

Debbie- the directions you used were the original directions from Country Threads - the raw edge Bullseye is copyrighted by Country Threads.

Great idea
Extra thrifty! Love it!
Charming quilt!😎😎😎
Very cute and deffinately fun.
I love your quilts. They are simple and so different than others
I like how you will have 4 of the same blocks instead of complete random! I would love to try this!
I’m glad you are doing this project! I love the look of raw edges. Can’t wait to see it finished.
Love your bold fabrics❤️
That's amazing. Love watching you
Can't wait to see it completed

I totally love this. Thank you.
Great tutorial, as always. I can’t wait to see how it turns out after you wash it.
So beautiful ❕
Great new design. I love how the wonky fabrics and shirt fabric worked off each other.
💕I can’t wait for part two. 🌸 I bet with all those layers it’s going to be extra warm and cozy. 🧵🥰
Beth, I think this is my all-time favorite of yours, thanks :)
Very interesting design and technique. Now you can print these 10" scrappy squares as fabric, to be sold as layer cakes! you have just designed a unique fabric! Thanks for sharing.
Hi Beth. I started one of these yesterday--what fun and such free sewing...thanks for your video hugs, Julierose
I've always wanted to make a Bullseye quilt, Beth. Your quilt top turned out great!

I absolutely love this. I love scrappy quilts too. I have tons of scraps. I need to invest in some neutrals though.
Thank you 😊
Love IT! Can’t wait to see it finished in your next video!

I love this one 😍
Very interesting and I’m very interested to see how those raw edges turn out. Always enjoy your videos so thanks for sharing 👍❤️😊
Love this you are so talented! You have given me a lot of great ideas.
What a cool idea! I am in the process of making a queen size quilt out of used men's dress shirts. I am wondering if you had washed this fabric before you cut it into circles. I am always afraid of colors bleeding. Can't wait for the next video!
I did not wash all the fabric👌

I was also wondering about using pinking shears, especially when you trimmed under the center corner.
Pinking shears would be fun to use… but would take longer👌 great idea
I'm wondering how this same idea would work with graduated squares.
Bello! Però io userei il punto festone per cucire i cerchi di stoffa. 😉
I truly love this scrappy quilt. Colors or designs would totally change the overall feel. Good job. I am curious, you always use the smaller mm rotary cutter. Is this just your preference?
Yes, I do use the smaller one more often. It’s especially nice for curves like this quilt.🙂
👏👏👏👏👏
