My husband loves raggy style quilts. This might make a great thin summer weight quilt for him! I love informal quilts that are to be used and loved over a fussy showpiece that gets stored or hung on a wall.
Beth it's amazing for me to learn how to put this block together. Thank you so very very much. Do much life and do many things to do. I can take this with me and cut them up even while traveling then see them together later. It's beautiful.

Our quilt group made a bulls eye Quilt but we started with the largest circle cut away some of the inner bulk and added the middle circle cut away bulk and added the smallest circle. Reduced the bulk quite a bit and turned out really neat. Can't wait to see yours completed Beth
I did the same ! Then, realized that, because I had cut out the excess carefully and evenly, I could make additional sqares with that material. Bonus ! !

Beth, just a thought. If you laid your smallest circle on the the largest circle trace around the smallest and cut out the middle you would have an extra small circle and reduce the bulk of the layers.
You have inspired me - I have so many novelty fabrics left over from I-Spy and other special quilts. I have to try this. This looks like a great stash buster since it uses so much fabric.
I have a bunch of these blocks sitting in my sewing room. I was part of a block exchange YEARS ago and we did this block on yellow backgrounds. I should get them together. This may be the inspiration I need to get going :)

Have never seen a bullseye quilt & what a great way to use stash fabric! I have lots of 1 & 2 yard cuts I wonder why I bought with no pattern in mind...but this Bullseye quilt could be my solution! Thanks for great inspiration & technique!

I loved your quilt . I saved a little fabric by sewing the largest circle on the square first , then cutting out from the back the background fabric only. Then I repeated with the next size circle and so on. I used the cutout circles in other blocks. I think I must have more time on my hands.❤

Oh Beth! You have done it again❤️What a surprise this was. I saw this technique in a quilt shop a few years ago, I took picture for future reference. It was a flower design by someone named Heather French “French Rose”. Googled it and there were lots of designs. Thanks for the reminder. Also, since I have always has problems getting my quilts square, I have learned to always make blocks a little bigger just so I can use my “can’t do without” rulers to trim to desired block size. My tops come together so much better! I also now starch blocks a little after I trim and I love how they sew together. Love the look of your back ground fabrics!

I love how you are creative and thrifty. I have made a similar quilt. My instructor directed me to topstitch down the largest circle, then trim the backing behind it. Next sew down the second largest circle, then trim the fabric behind, and continue in this way with each layer of fabric. What is trimmed from behind can be used for another smaller circle. There was very little waste, and the results were not bulky. You are currently my favorite quilt youtuber. Keep it coming.

What a cool idea! I am in the process of making a queen size quilt out of used men's dress shirts. I am wondering if you had washed this fabric before you cut it into circles. I am always afraid of colors bleeding. Can't wait for the next video!

Yes, I do use the smaller one more often. It’s especially nice for curves like this quilt.🙂
