How to install a Rennchip to a Porsche Macan S and Test Run Passes

In this episode I go over a very easy 5 minute DIY Install of a Rennchip Tunning ECU Box that Piggybacks to the stock ECU to increase performance and boost on the otherwise factory Porsche Macan S.
According to various sources this device has been dyno tested to increase around 49 Horsepower and 48 lb-ft of Torque and by my video tests it has actually made the car faster despite the bigger and heavier 37 lb. 22" Wheels from the 26 lb. Factory Wheels.
Will probably look into getting lighter 20" Summer wheels and Tires for performance and will update later with updated performance numbers and test videos.

The actual performance increase of both of these products is highly noticeable not only in the more aggressive test passes but also in actual numbers. I am more than certain with lighter wheels and unloading my trunk full of stuff will shave off a second or more.

Only way I can’t see it helping off the line is if using launch control or brake torque, since in this case your letting off the brakes with the pedal already completely floored to the ground and starting off at optimal rpm right from the start of the run. So these runs must of been done just hitting the gas pedal off idle, correct?
Will it not drain the battery when it is connected like that to that battery. Is US modell slover than European Macan? It looks like that. Did you have it in Sport mode when you test it? It look slow in the figuers /numers 0-60 and 1/4mile.
Thanks Saul for another informative video, I have been looking at piggy back chips for my Macan as well as the pedal commander and wondered about the actual results. How many miles on your car? Mine’s already has 55k, did you notice a big drop in gas mileage after installing these mods? Or does it just depends how much you put your foot in it? 👍🙏
Thank you!🙏🏼 and yes the gas mileage does depend on how aggressively you drive but it does bring down your MPG, between the larger wheels and the mods I have gone down from 25mpg hwy to about 20ish now. I can turn off the pedal commander or set it to eco mode and get the mpg back but then it’s soooo slow. That only last about 10 seconds and then I’m like nope! I want the fun back lol 😂

@@kelvinmoon1 most def, diverter valves, a hitch, a kayak roof rack, a new front lip diffuser, upgrading the hid to brighter white color, repainting my wheels to dark gunmetal gray, I’m sure more carbon tid bits, definitely more to come!
Hey Saul. Any regrets on the plug-in tune? I am leaning towards one but wonder if a COBB Accessport is the way to go. Plug is definitely something I can afford now but I am a little worried the occasional jerky shifts. Any thoughts?
I love the faster response and it is aggressively faster. I have noticed a bit of that but since I have the pedal commander I have been able to tone it down for city driving and adjusting up when I need some spirited driving. I personally love it because I am not looking to drag race the car and for the amount of performance increase it wakes up the car for a perfect balance between a daily driver and a fast fun car when needed.

@@wsnelms I was going to go VR but ended up running into a good deal I couldn’t pass from another macan owner that was trading his car so it worked out.
Great video, but why the numbers are bad? With 440 hp you should be close to macan turbo with performance pack which is low 4 seconds . I have macan turbo with tune and intake and I'm doing high 3s to low 4s.
Great question. Larger, heavier and wider wheels. More rating weight and mass. When I had the factory 19’s I was well over a second faster but I love the look of 22” x 10 wheels. I may settle eventually for some 20s though
