Thank goodness it's not as horrible as the pictures from the Hacchaka site. The pictures from there made Godzilla look like a melting bootleg, with very smooth/decimated details and nearly missing paint. Lots of people canceled their pre-orders because of the pictures there. I just got invoiced for this and Goku last night, I hope they arrive soon.
Yeah! I totally thought something about this copy seemed a little bit better! The head is actually proportionate on this copy! I might actually put my preorderback in!
Great review as always, i love this figure’s design but that said i think the Monsterarts team really phoned it in with the articulation and it could have been far better than we got.
I hate when they make a monster soo good as a figure but they never make them BIG like 18 inch to 24 inch big. Im tired of that. I mean its GODDDAMMZILLA!!! Make these monster figs BIG!!!
Nice and comprehensive review, thank you! This figure looks awesome. Sadly I won't get mine until January but its going to be worth the wait 😁 So excited for the movie too, December 15th here in the UK 🤘🏻🤖🤘🏻 Also, I think the head needs warming up, my Ultima was very tight, once I warmed up the joints with some gentle heat, that boy moved a plenty 🤓
It looks like the head joint on yours may be extra tight. I saw a Japanese review earlier today that showed the head turning a lot more. Anyway, the figure looks sweet, can't wait to get mine delivered.
No articulation and no accessories for $140... what are we really paying for? Carnage S.H.F was $135...I thought it was expensive too but it's a beauty in design, accessories and articulation. So what am I paying/getting for this Bandai's Godzilla figure? 140 for toe articulation and parts falling off? Pass Lol...60 bucks, sure but otherwise...Super7 may be a better choice. But Super7 shouldn't be the high standard as they have failed with their Godzilla toy line as well :/ but great review. 👍🏼
Looks good (Eyes are still a bit funky though), but prices for SHMA have been spiking up lately with no accessories and many qc issues (Looking at you, KOTM 2019 Night Ver.). I'll wait for Hiya to take a crack at -1 Goji
This is a fantastic review! I personally won't be getting it because i still think the sculpt on the final product is nowhere NEAR as finely detailed and precise as the prototype, but nonetheless, this is an amazing video!
@@boobooextra8718 Its definitely the paint job. The sculpt was overseen by Yuji Sakai and is meant to be painted as the prototype shown off at toy shows demonstrated. That version had about 3 layers of different colored dry brushing that looked realistic to what we saw on screen. This only has one layer, that orangey brown, which could have been fine if it had just been applied consistently. But when the right foot (on this one) has accurate ish dry brushing but the left foot barely got any on the toes so they're a different color than the foot.. then both feet are such drastically different colors than the shins that connect to them... it just murders what is most likely a phenomenal sculpt.
He looks amazing, possibly my favorite Godzilla design ever BUT why is every figure so small? I want a Godzilla like this to be big. I’m dying for one 24 inches tall.
Honestly I would have wanted this figure to bake a bit more. I get the company is trying to capitalize on the recent release of minus one hence it’s ridiculous price tag too, but personally I would like a good figure as apposed to a rushed figure. At least to justify that price tag. I have a feeling this one may suffer a similar fate to Godzilla 2021.
I thought with the higher price of this Godzilla, there would be more stuff or engineering than just the articulated toes. At the very least make it slightly bigger, but turns out just had many spikes. Not sure it's the reason it costs more (and I'm comparing him to the big boys like Shin, Ultima and Earth - only Shin costs more than Minus One).
I was hoping the paint would justify the price but the paint isn't even half as good as the prototype. MonsterArts never looks as good as the prototype but this is a huuuuge drop in paint quality. Way too big of a dip to justify that price tag.
I’m getting a little tired to be honest of the joints so easily popping off of their figures. Especially when I’m only bending the joints a little bit. I just got the 91 and the tail pieces keep popping off when I’m only bending them ever so slightly. This figure looks awesome though. I just hope his tail and arms aren’t as sensitive to popping off as some of his predecessors.
A hacky figure. Too different from the promo. It was as if they were passing it from hand to hand until all the paint was worn off. And then they quickly sprayed it with an airbrush. Not worth that kind of money. Got tired of it. And the packaging is great!

@@mattfuller1856better than the picture I saw on X and not drastically changed from the prototype but…. I’ll wait till the release date 😅
Yeah this entire thing is exactly the same as the SHMA final wars incident lol
One thing SHM never misses is the box art, always beautiful! Especially the Shin Godzilla line-up!
I love the articulated toes. I really wish Bandi would do that on all their Godzillas.
Great review as always, i love this figure’s design but that said i think the Monsterarts team really phoned it in with the articulation and it could have been far better than we got.
This is actually better than the initial Hacchaka site pics.

Oh sweet, not too much longer until you can watch it. Enjoy!
I really love it since it was shown in Tamashii nation tokyo
Thanks for your reviews ❤
Felt like I was fooled by Tamashii Nations when I saw the picture on x a couple of days ago 😅
It’s better than I thought
Yeah not sure what is up with those photos. At least the few that I have seen and my mates one are all good.
This version of Godzilla is combination of Shin Godzilla, Final Wars Goji, Legendary Goji, and 85' Goji. Really nice figure tho. 🔥 🔥
And also a combination of godzilla the ride
@@bluedragon38 That's true. It's just like how the new Hiya toys King Ghidorah is a miniature version of the Sprial Studios Ghidorah.
I’m excited for mine and I’m excited to see the movie!!

Ah ok, I will try and warm it up a little bit more to loosen it up. Thanks!

I hope hiya toys makes a minus one Godzilla since they’re now able to make toho Godzilla versions

If you want large ones you can look up Xplus releases.
Finally a review for -1.0

I wish i had one.
When does it release in the u.s.?
I believe it will be around Feb
P.S. What’s really interesting is that the inside of the mouth is the muscle jaw can moves.
Yeah I saw that online, I need to take another closer look. Can't believe that I missed it!
@@Rockchala_YT we all make mistakes. But now we know. 👍

It is better than them breaking! Some more balancing would be nice though.
@@Rockchala_YT Oh definitely better than breaking no question. I just wish they stayed put more in the sockets.
🎉nice review, bro
Cheers mate!
By any chance could you do a collection tour since just looking at your collection in the back makes me jealous but happy too😅
Yup I can do one! Maybe in the new year as I am going to be away for most of Dec.
@@Rockchala_YT okay 👌
When does it release?
For USA should be early next year around Feb I believe. Other regions should have similar time frames.
Bro pull out the Sukuna finger
Oh yeah didn't end up using in this video did I? Next time!
For a figure that’s 150 dollars and stiff with less articulation movement feels like a pass I gotta see more reviews to decide
Yuck, that waist ring looks terrible when you move his around. Guess I'll just have to wait for Hiya... Thanks for saving me $$$
So basically a statue with tail articulation with how little movement it has
The figure definitely has more range of movement when looking at other reviews, Figuman was just being careful not to pop anything off.

If it’s already out, why do I have to wait until January to get my preorder?
Out in Japan, other regions next year.
Great figure but man that proce point and he literally comes with nothing is a real downer for me. A blast effect or something would of been nice
