I dont get why the Gamera figures get so many accessories but the Godzilla ones don't, the transformation gimmick to Gamera is what the beam effect or destroyed buildings is to Godzilla. Still going to keep getting them though lol
A rather safe release for sure, and very similar to the 1989 figure. The sculpt on this guy is very crisp, and Tamashii Bandai are getting so good at making a rather articulated figure look seamless. Looks like the QC is pretty good too. Only thing I can see that might be annoying is the bottom jaw and its shape? It was sculpted with one pose in mind that's for sure.
i would be curious to try some big poses. the balljoints on these guys have been getting very loose for the lst few years. my 2003 his arms come off at the shoulder 89 pops pff at the hip shin was actually really solid. kotm tail comes apart easily.
@@somedudewhodraws9377 youll notice the biggest fin changes places on every heisei godzilla for the most part. when you hit the last two movies or so it sits mostly up by the bottom of his neck but it migrates from almost at his hip in 1984 to center back and so on. its interesting. outside of the build of his shoulders and his eye color its the only other very notable change. the suits were pretty consistent otherwise.
Looks good! Wish he came with a beam accessory. It’s been terribly long since we’ve had a Godzilla with one. I’m surprised though that you’re not collecting the Hiya Godzilla figures.
They do not sell Hiya in Japan, and for me they just look a bit too 'cheap' like a mix between Neca and SHMA. However, even if they were sold here one line is more than enough for me unless they had something that SHMA didnt do that I was really into etc
@@Rockchala_YTOh believe me they are not too cheap in the looks department. They are very well done with paint and sculpt. The sculpt especially is so intensely movie accurate compared to the SH ones. Also they are releasing a Female Muto and SkullCrawler which SH and Neca haven’t done. Also one final note their Legendary Mothra puts SH one too shame. All I’m saying is if you manage to get the chance to get one of those figures especially a Godzilla definitely give it a chance.
I don't know how Monsterarts/Hiya collectors need to band together and plague them with emails or something for a new accessory effects set. Like come on how hard is it to give us a accessory pack??? I'm sure everyone else agrees with me, it helps make you're figures pop more on display.
Why is it that they’re display reveal for this figure from the event comes out beautiful and detailed with the face but once . it’s released to the public it’s not very close what its supposed to look .
@@Arsenoraptor1999071663937 I think the version that they showed is a very very early prototype that doesn't even have any articulation, it's just the sculpt.
ngl, saw this figure & it's box up on eBay for $157, actually thought it was a scam or a boot leg but turns out that's how it actually looks. also bbts is just really late to the game again what a surprise.
Seems like this Godzilla will have difficulty doing an S curve in the tail...my Neca 89 can do a S curve better from the look of this. It's a nice looking figure (I've still got mine on pre-order) but the price wise I still feel we're not getting enough to justify the cost. May hold out for Hiya's version.
Ok can can every one who has this figures and hates it or has some problems with it comment what it is here because I am considering buying it but am a little worried it’s gonna be bad
I'm curious because it's hard to tell in the video and all the videos I see. Are the eyes white or yellow? They were yellow in the prototype images, but in the actual release it's a bit harder to tell.
@@Rockchala_YT I see. It looks to me like it's more clearly yellow under the correct lighting conditions, while it looks white when you aren't looking closely. My pre-order isn't arriving for another two weeks, but I'm looking forward to it as my first Heisei Godzilla. Out of curiosity, do you recommend this one or the 1989 more?
I personally love the 89 suit so it is my favourite but both are great. If you want something different the 1972 Godzilla just went on preorder in Japan today!
@@Rockchala_YT I'm considering that one for sure. I have the 1991 on pre-order right now, I love the Heisei era so I'm looking forward to getting this guy. The 1954 also looks great, I might pick up the new reissue too.
They had one job and they failed, and that one job was capturing the menacing look that this suit is known to have when it comes to his face 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Reminds me of Godzilla’s 2002 box

Yeah the Gamera stuff always seems fully stacked aye!
I believe it has to do with Toho not investing as much money as Kadokawa does for their merchandise 😭

Well to be fair the 89 suit was just modified abit for G91with not much changes except for the eyes and muscle build.

The Mothra images did look pretty good and the Skillcrawler. I think doing figures which haven't been done by other companies is always good!

How are the eyes on yours? I saw on another review that the right eye seemed to be looking up further than the left.
The eyes are good.
Is this better then G89? Cuz I had one and guess what his arm broke off with the joint cuz it was glued in >:C

Not really, the figure just came out in Japan, US retailers never get these figures til a month or 2 later. That includes bbts
