I leave tomorrow for my final build week! I've watched your videos a few times to get a good idea of what to expect up in Yakima! Keep up the good work! Hope to fly with you someday!
good video :) - i just saw N79SW at my local airport a few days ago and took picture of it on the taxi way - small world (N79SW is the red Carbon Cub park next to your plane at the end of the video)
I just found your site and want to say thank you for taking the time to shoot and edit your videos. I really enjoy your work. You are doing exactly what I want to do. I'm going to get a tail dagger myself and fly the USA baby!
The FAA requires that you fabricate 51% of the airplane for it to be considered Experimental category. There are no fully factory build Carbon Cub -X3's They are all licensed Experimental There are two versions: the version in the video is an FX3, where I go to the factory and fabricate %51 of the parts the other version is a kit where the parts are shipped to the individual for assembly at their home where they assemble 51% of the parts, that is an EX3.
@@Cubonaut875 Thanks! I've never flown an experimental before so didn't know that. What's the benefit of having it deemed experimental over having them do all the assembly and it being part 23 certified?
@@2011blueman The -X3 series of Airplanes are not Part 23 certified, they are only Experimental. This allows more user maintenance, ability to use Avionics and engines that would be difficult to certify. The XCub is Certified and the cost is hundreds of thousands more for the plane. Check out the Cubcrafters website.

The DAR does such a wonderful job walking you through the process. Love how thorough he is! At 8:30 you can see my FX-3 in the background N79SW!
Awesome airplane! I was just thinking how nice your airplane looks looks! Maybe I should have went red and white!
@@Cubonaut875 Thank you! The tail is a silhouette of the Matterhorn. Jon Bliss and CC do amazing work
Can’t wait to see what yours looks like with the cowl done! The scheme is so cool!
Congratulations, great choice of avionics. Adventure awaits!
That is fantastic! Great looking plane👍👍👍
THANK YOU!
Love the paint scheme, what suspension & tailwheel did you go for? 29” tyres? 😎😎

Thanks for watching!
This is great!
