Mia is so cute. All she wants for is peace and love. She obviously finds it in your home.
My fitbit app has been terrible for deleting data this year, but I've managed to collate my annual walking mileage, and I've completed my 1000 miles, yippppeeeee! Before today's walk (setting out in a minute), I've clocked up 1,118 miles.
May was my lowest monthly total of 75 miles, and my highest monthly total of 108.65 miles, was July!?
December is languishing a little bit, but will definitely top 70 miles, which I'm more than happy with.

Thank you so much for showing us that wonderful almanac! I've never yet bought one and didn't know this one existed. I found it on amazon and bought it - it is lovely! And apart from all the things you mentioned about it, it even contains a song for each month! So I will be learning a new song each month this year, being a singer. I never ever do a swatch or block. I would also like to knit myself a xmas jumper but have never been taught how to knit a chart. Several times in different yarn groups I have asked for help with simple patterns but so far for the 2nd year running no help has been forthcoming😪
I still have my strong Somerset accent although we haven’t lived there for 30 years! We lived in Norfolk for 15 years and people thought I had a Norfolk accent so it must be similar! We went on a similar muddy walk yesterday although the wind gusting was the real nuisance! Take care x

I wonder if the folks expressing concern for your safety while out walking have been watching all those great British murder mysteries? I’ve spent so much time watching Midsommer Murders, Inspector Lewis, Agatha Christie and Miss Marple that it’s hard not to envision there’s a killer lurking behind every rock and tree! 😂😂😂
When I lived in Norwich (many years ago) I thought Wymondham was pronounced exactly like that “why-mond -ham”. Needless to say, it got a good laugh from my work colleagues. When I first started working at Norwich Union there were two ladies behind me chatting and I could not understand a word they were saying (thick Norfolk accents) 😂

I'm currently reading "The Night I Met Father Christmas" by Ben Miller. It's another take on "A Christmas Carol"
Hello Alli! Enjoying Vlogmas as always. We had conversed via email concerning Dan growing up in Norfolk and my mom growing up in Norwich. My dad was in the US Army Air Corps and stationed at Horsham St Faiths outside Norwich during WWII. They got married there and came back to America. I have been there several times with my mom. I have a funny story about Wymondham in Norfolk. We were in a car heading somewhere for a day trip. I heard the adults discussing about how far we had gone and it seems like they had missed the turn off for Wymondham which they pronounced Win-Dom. I piped up from the back seat and said that we had passed a sign that said Wy-Mond-Ham in my little American accent. Well the whole car erupted in laughter!! I was puzzled as to how you pronounce that as Win-dom. I figured out later and told my husband when I took him over many years later that you the emphasis on the first syllable, throw out the second syllable and then say the last. 😂
Another strange name in Norfolk is Happisburgh.... said as haysborough . 😊

What would be funny is having Dan set up the video exactly like you would. Putting his walking shoes on and telling us about what scarf and hat he's going to wear on his way to the post office to drop or pick up parcels. Then he can open up his advents and ooh and awe over the lovely yarns etc. He can make his Oolong shushong (no idea how to spell that one) tea and heat up his left overs before sitting to knit on his hat and watch a vlogmas video! lol I think he'd be awesome at vlogging specially if he adds in his expertise in Lego building!
