Another great camp ! For your alcohol stove, instead of rubbing alcohol. Go to the store in the automotive department and get HEET in the yellow bottle. Its alcohol, but it burns much cleaner and better than rubbing alcohol.

Another awesome video brother. Always appreciate the info you share and you always keeping it real with us. I've got a hammock in my kit that is similar but I'm a side sleeper so don't find them as comfortable to sleep in as some. Appreciate the video brother man can't wait till the next.

I got in somewhat of a new sleeping position on this outing and it actually kinda felt like side sleeping. Instead of laying linear I layed diagonal. I'm going to play around with it some more and update yall if I figure it out haha

You know what would make haversack camping doable for me? A backpack! I used to date a girl that’s father did civil war re-enactments in Gettysburg. We actually moved to Gettysburg and couldn’t find a apartment so we stayed in the state park. I worked 3to 12. Anyway we used my boyscout and army gear and her civil war stuff she had put together over the years. When I went to work I’d drop her off at her fathers house pick her up at around 12:30. I read everything I could find on civil war and camping.
Anyway sorry for the long background. My point in all my reading haversack was a food an kitchen bag. Don’t understand why RUclips pushed this camping thing. I find a haversack useful for food an forging. Just don’t understand why anyone wants to walk with everything swinging off you.
You have a amazing setup. With a nice day pack you could hike for miles. A haversack makes it easy to keep your food away from animals an all in one place. Personally I prefer a cold bag with ice packs for some food. But in my years I’m past proving anything other then I love nature and comfort. I’ll carry a chair because I enjoy being comfortable.
Very cool setup I can’t wait to see more of your videos. Don’t take my comment as me disagreeing with what your doing. I’m just pointing out things I do understand. My background was boyscout from 11 till order of the arrow around 19 then army Ranger. So I’ve been to many camps on survival an camping. I just find so things shown to you younger guys odd (with that I don’t mean bad just different and in contradiction to what the old woodsman taught in my day) plus the point you made about the strap, A good backpack takes the weight off your back an shoulders it puts it on the hip. That is why pack fit an hip belts are so important.
I’m thinking haversack is nice to film a video about camping. The simple truth is old is not better. If haversacks an bedrolls we’re better the military wouldn’t waste billions on rucks and tents and sleeping systems. I believe some of these supposed survival people are just clot chasers. Dave Canterbury lied about his military training and experience. That’s not to say he doesn’t have some good things. The 10Cs is great but he first and foremost is a gear salesman. Gone are the days of honest equipment reviews and what’s the best cheap gear. Everyone on RUclips is pushing something an very few are the truth. Well that’s my rant sorry just trying to find like minded people.
Hope you understand an have a good one.

Howdy man I really appreciate the input and feedback. I also prefer a backpack. I just like doing and trying different things. A good way to challenge myself. I can also assure you i'm not really trying to push anything but I do make a point to share company names of the gear I use so if people are interested in it they can check it out. Thats one of my favorite things about RUclips is getting to find out about stuff I wouldn't have know about otherwise.
I hope to see you in the comment section of future videos! I have a video dropping today around 5pm EST
P.S. I live in VA so I think the thing about Gettysburg is really cool
