Hearing Ray talking about "mud" brings back memory of when he first started and Bugs asked him to bring him a shovel of mud. Ray goes over to a mud puddle in the yard and stars digging up some actual mud.😂

You can only work with children for so long. I love how Ryan is willing to pick up the slack but as a business owner he could never have a second crew with guys like Eric, Franny and Tino. Bugs could have ran a 2nd crew, and that’s what’s frustrating to me about losing bugs.

I have never been short on a pour but I did have a few slow trucks and cold joints. For a while I ordered a little extra so the driver could drop it at a homeless shelter that was improving their grounds. You would be surprised at how many finishers found themselves homeless in Florida. I bought them the tools to finish the concrete I had left over. A yard at a time to make the grounds better and give the men a purpose was a great feeling. It helped that the concrete plant was on the same road as the homeless shelter and they would get extra concrete from other contractors.

He may not be the absolute best, but he's 1: consistent, 2: on time, and 3: teachable. 4: if he has a question, he's not going to let it sit, he'll ask. He'll get there.
One more thing, your driver damaged your trailer by dropping the wheel of in a ditch when making a turn! It's hard to sore with the Eagles,when you work with a bunch of turkeys!

You were spot on with the truck getting off the tracks, it's a large spray truck to control the weeds on the tracks. They run them through periodically to keep the track looking pretty

I would keep Ray on for a couple weeks more at the end to wash detail and wax all the trucks and equipment and put him first on the list for winter work like snow removal and such . He's the one who's always there on time and comes when you call . He may not be the sharpest unite in the drawer but he's there when you need him and maybe see if your mecanic can use him as extra help threw the winter .

@@alexvaldivia9718 Bugs gave 2 weeks notice and got paid for 2 weeks. He and Ryan agreed he could leave a week early to avoid them agruing all the time. Many companies won't let you stay 2 weeks but pay you, especially companies with proprietary information that operates their business.
