That's basically the only thing I would have to say about the Aristocrats. They build tension, but the release never comes and kind of leaves you frustrated
@@Elemy69 Not with every song, but often yea. Kentucky Meat Shower has an amazing build up and pop. Flatlands as well, in my opinion. Alot of their songs come off as just jams between 3 amazing musicians.
they have this powerful, kind of very angular, energized sometimes even aggressive/angry moments...and then they flow into these moments of lilting, kinda bucolic strolling...and back and forth it goes in so many of their compositions. they are just incredible. im not a musician of any kind...so i have no access to a technical musical vocabulary, but they are music masters, to be sure. what an emotional range!
bicycleutopia I am a musician and I tell you I couldn’t have said it better ,greatest band in the world ,it’s actually somewhat comforting to hear someone who’s not a musician in anyway say exactly how I feel about this band and music in general, they even say at there shows they expect most of the fans to be musicians lol
bicucleutopia you had a good explanation of this band's music..It is a bit complex, but every good instrumental song should have a bit of complexity to it, makes it more interesting. It makes up for lack of vocals.
Well stated, bicycleutopia! As a musician, I'm discovering The Aristocrats for the FIRST time tonight. So I'm embarrassed and euphoric at the same time!
rara vez hay una feliz coincidencia de un super trio de talentosos, dedicados a hacer un música tan compleja, pero a la vez divertida. Solo The Aristocrats podrían hacerlo 🖐️ gracias 🎶👏
These cats are my new favorite band. Rhythmically, harmonically, and melodically they have so much control and creativity. Their sound is so diverse and fresh. Love it!
Love prog with the vintagey guitar and bass tones. Somehow much more tolerable than super high gain modern distortion sounds. These guys also seem to know how to have fun too.
I’m concerned for the human race because of the number of people that laughed during Guthrie’s head injury story. But then my faith in the future is reaffirmed by this artistry. Especially Brien’s solo!
One of those rare pieces where a blistering solo actually diminishes from the performance. That was a nice tune with an interesting chord progression. Excellent bass too. Sometimes less is more imho.
Jokes... so... what kind of headspace were you in when you wrote this song? Would you say you were feeling really open minded at the time? Did your state of mind change during the writing of this piece?
Worked with Guthrie many times (as a sound engineer) in the 90's. A lovely, gentle and thoroughly talented man
Your description of Guthrie is correct. He's a beautiful soul.
Bought him a beer after a show and talked with him for almost an hour. He is indeed a kind and brilliant man, and far more generous with his time than a player of his caliber (the highest) needs to be.
Guthrie should get a side gig narrating audio books!
That's exactly what i thought. He's got a beautiful voice
Or opening for ian anderson

I could listen to GG talk all day! In addition to being a brilliant musician he is quite an articulate and funny chap!
Dude has an english degree!
he knows how to turn an intelligent phrase in his own way, be it in english or music.

@@jorgen3662 the guitarist in the video has the initials GG.
Close your eyes, it’s Simon Pegg.
Such a big sound for a three piece. When all three musicians are brilliant.
It's like Zappa, Rush and Weather Report all at once.
And a bit of king crimson as well
With a pinch of Jeff Beck in there
And a little dash we're talking a pinch of justin bieber
Don't forget Eric Johnson.
Yeah, the Zappa comes from GG, the Rush comes from MM and the Weather Report comes from BB
this song sounds like a neverending intro too an amazing groove that never comes...

Please my youtiub chanal sabkraib brother
All three of these guys would be prime candidates for Zappa's band if Frank were still alive.
Please my youtiub chanal sabkraib brother
The bass solo is amazing. I come back to listen to this part again and again. Guthrie is the best, no need to repeat it.
3:22 this is the most insane fill I've ever heard
Yea...that was sick...
Sounds like he's playing double bass until you realize he's doing a single kick + hi hat... Insane
Marco respect you so much.. He use two boxes with diferents tones to play with you one music you never Will finish
5:04 he use 5 finger for the chord! Insane
that shit was crazy. They need to make it longer. unbelievably good.
Their sense of timing is awesome.
The drummer is freeking killing it!
Thanks so much for the upload man, Guthries tone and solo are out of this world
+Brian Dennehy You're totally welcome ! i'll be uploading more live performances of those fellas, RUclips really needs this stuff !
Lotfi Boualit what kind of guitar does he play ? and what amp system plus sound effects does he use
Please my youtiub chanal sabkraib brouther

One band that it's possible to ear the bass sound ty God!!
Great! Now I'm gonna hum that tune for the rest of the day...
These cats are my new favorite band. Rhythmically, harmonically, and melodically they have so much control and creativity. Their sound is so diverse and fresh. Love it!
What a joyful masterpiece
I just realized the drummer was in Necrophagist, so awesome.
Hell yeah!
I broke my leg, but, I didn't do anything but cry. I wish the result was a killer jam!
Legend have limitless treasure to give and no time to deliver! Respect...
One of the Jazziest song in the album. Love it.
Thanks for bringing pleasure to the world
Oh lord Gurthie's tone in that solo is just pure drool worthy.
music is limitless according to guys like these one and many others...beautiful :-)
Man!! Amazing! I bet Frank would love this!!
Chris Brooks Agreed. It sounds very 80-84 Zappa.
This song and indeed the entire album should be listened to on a rooftop bar of a Bangkok hotel after a few bottles of Singha...
Ben McCrea the first time I read your post I thought you said the entire album should be thrown off the roof. Phew !
That's just insane. I'm always so surprised with their live versions; such brilliant improvisations.
Incredible bass solo. Beller blows my head.
wow, just found these guys today.Great music and so many influences in the music can,t begin.
This is probably my favorite guthrie solo, so underrated!
Best feeling! Great band!
This is a spontaneous TED TALK before the song. This is great.
The whole band is out of this world tight!
Massive talent! If you get a chance to see these guys live, do it! One of the best concerts I've ever been to!
And yet another masterpiece. The sheer depth of his ability seems to have no limit!! Wish he did one of those tute videos.
Made my Easter Sunday Brother
Lovely bass playing Brian
I saw these in Coventry Last Week! one of the best gigs i have ever seen! Unbelievable band and Comedians to, Gotta love em!
Love prog with the vintagey guitar and bass tones. Somehow much more tolerable than super high gain modern distortion sounds. These guys also seem to know how to have fun too.
great guitar tone and dynamic..
3:22 drummer steals the show with fills like that
his name is marco minnemann. he's a legend!
Guthrie seems to be the new Zappa with a touch of Holdsworth. I can say that is about the utmost compliment I could possibly fabricate.
Yea Holdsworth was on a whole other level. Gutherie is definetly a monster in his own style.
Sad story ... awesome playing...as usual...
5:11
Guthrie wraps his thumb underneath the fretboard to embellish the chord.
Wow.
That’s illegal in most states.
I think that Guthrie has a slight Zappa vibe.
+Andy Long oh for sure! I love it
That guy has a slight everybody’s vibe
There's a zappa lick from Inca Road's live version
Fitting since Brian looks like Zappa!
If Zappa was nice lol
This musicianship is another level, absolutely stellar! 💪🏻
Always excellent!
Just fantastic!!!!
Such precise playing by all 3.
Thanks for the upload but man you have to post a link for buying the dvd , these guys deserve money for playing this fantastic music!
+jeremylive31500 Totally true ! i'll do it Asap.
this is a really good song wowow
Brilliant song, amazing musicians.
"Guthrie suffers for your music pleasure"
Reminds me a bit of Romantic Warrior, but these three are sui generis for that. Look forward to exploring their music.
The only comment I can make is that this is the absolute greatest band that ever existed
sounds like 1970's Zappa without ruth and george.
keep doing this mr Govan
Its a Great song !! & Sad tail !! All the best all of you, Greets from Spain
Wow! Just Wow!
They're apparently 70's Rush for the 21st century with a Captain Beefheart garnish, good stuff.
"It's funny to laugh at people that have serious head injuries".
fantastic guitarist
Guthrie, Marco, Bryan Bellar. Hall of famers. Wow. This is the music my brain feeds on.
As good as mad! Thx!!
Three high level humans and musicians.
Super Zappa vibes right here. Incredible
You’ll all be whistling this tune in the morning.
VeryCool!! Nicely done! Class.
Peace*
I just realized, how dangerous Marco's drumming in the outro...
Nice work! no doubt with the Zappa influence! Amazing stuff!
I was listening to Silhouette by Opeth when I accidentally clicked on this and just added this band to my musicians list to listen
This is the epitome of the power trio...makes my head hurt tryin to figure out their timing but then i swoon....
TOP NOTCH GREAT TALENT ! great for movie producers, but for the minute followers of such abstract individualized talent???
They are all so good it's scary!
If this guitar thing doesn't work out for Guthrie, he definitely has a future in narrating audio books.
Maybe both😆
So FLEXIBLE 😊
That guitar tone is better than the album version, imo.
the best
I like playing with myself too! Thanks.
Atonishing!!! Sublime! :)
I like lime too. Also subs.
Excellent!
Judging by the song title I would have expected some Necrophagist
Longest album wait time ever.
I think there's a song called gaping head wound by them. On one of their TWO albums.
Sorry, i was thinking about Stabwound.
It’s never gonna happen ):
Same! 😂
Holy shit that tone 6:02
beautiful
moment 5:53 T.T
I like this tune a whole lot more when I am drunk... is that a good thing?´
Nah, your just an alcoholic.

Yes, what a Rush.
Sick‼️
I have to admit..i didnt know you existed. How did i miss this?
Love for Kolkata West Bengal india❤🇮🇳
The drummer is the star of that show.
Derek Grycko That’s Marco Minneman. Amazing drummer
Jokes...

Not a fan of progressive but these guys are so tight! And I love that the drummer is obviously having a blast!
Amazing
Style. Chops. Tone. Humour. Does it get any better?
Its very Zappa inspired!! Very cool!
