The epitomy of a hidden gem
I don’t even know how to describe the feeling after watching ... there are a that type works of art after which you just want to be silent, it makes you listen to what is happening inside you.
But you are silent because you don’t know how to describe what exactly it touched you inside. This is the feeling of a drop falling into a calm lake and after the drop only silence remains, but this drop has already become a part of you.
It didn't shake you and cause some emotions, no. It dissolves in you quietly and to the very depths of your soul...

Insanely cool to see this take on the song’s story/themes, and it works wonderfully. The animation is stunning, looking like a mix between stop motion and felt dolls. And christ those transitions, especially when it frames the two behind the birdcage. Can’t wait to see what you may go on to do in the future.

calarts, mili, and library of ruina don't belong in the same sentence. those titles are all held in different countries of the world, and yet, somehow, they've been connected together in this masterpiece.

This is a awesome, the story kinda confused me a bit but you did well on the animation

Hey, this is just my interpretation but I think this story is about a relationship between a mother (or at least an adult figure) and a child. The monsters imo are symbolism for bad people, and the woman teaches the child to not hesitate when dealing with them. Then comes the lyric "how does it feel to be free? " with the woman throwing the gun (I assume she's tired from being wronged by these 'monsters'). The child being obsessed with protecting the woman, picked up the gun; in this case indicating that she's ready to kill whoever it is that hurt the her.
In the end the woman falls in love with a 'monster', and the child not knowing better thought it's better to kill it. The woman covered for it though, and now the girl can't accept the reality of her shooting her beloved person to dead. Committed suicide short after.
I rewatch this several times a week. So much hard work and talent put into this, it's beautiful.

Can anyone tell me what the storyline is?
This is just a theory but here’s what I think is going on:
The black haired girl is probably a magical girl of sorts. She uses her guns to kill the weird stuffed monsters. The pink girl was trapped by one about to be killed until black haired girl showed up and saved her. Pink haired girl then fell in love. Pink haired girl went along black haired girl and I think later on, she became a magical girl too. But black haired girl either didn’t like killing the monsters or didn’t want to be a magical girl anymore so pink haired girl started killing them for her. Pink haired girl was sleeping one day when saw black haired girl with a monster. I think the black haired girl fell in love with the monster but the pink haired girl thought she was being attacked so she shot. Black haired girl jumped in the way to prevent the monster from being shot and died in the progress. The pink haired girl was devastated and shot herself in the head. They met up again in the meadow/afterlife but pink haired girl’s body was actually still in the room.

Not everyone knows the song through the game 💀 like me i only know “oh it’s Mili’s song” and don’t care about anything else, i only found out about the whole Project Moon thing 2 years later after the song. They just wanna interpret and enjoy the song out of the context of the game then let them be, it’s not like they put a whole quote “my work is better than the original opening” or anything lol
