I have to say honestly I came across your page a few years ago. And you have quickly became one of my favorite guitarist and RUclips personalities. I quit playing guitar a few years ago and have started back again your music is amazing and your page has inspired me to start playing again. Thank you and now I’m saving for a solar guitar now
Yes. This is all i have been thinking, at first I didn't know Ola and his bands. Until my attention get caught by this solar products(which I didn't know Ola is the co-founder, until I start making my homework about the solar guitars) . Now he's one of my favourite guitarist, I wish I had known about him and his band and their materials a lot sooner. Tbh, this is the first time I'm really into heavy death/death metal bands. It's all thanks to Ola.
Well this has put a massive smile on my face on a Saturday morning. The riffs (and sound) are great, but.... from Pizza Hawaii and now this you've proven that the melodies inside of you need to be expressed more often. Quite beautiful and captivating. I can see why you needed to put out a solo album of this content, rather that be stuck inside the more rigid content of The Haunted and Feared. They're great too, but different is also good. Hey, you're really good at this melody stuff, too! Also, I had my Ragamuffin kitten on my lap during this song, and when the kitten scrolled past in the video, my kitten lunged forward to get at my screen! Nearly cost me a coffee, and a keyboard! EDIT: and as I go for another playthrough, it makes me smile again. The way that riff thunders in after the intro is absolute classic. Immediate smile, adrenaline rush, and a reach for the volume control (yes, to turn it up!) And I say thank you for the music, For giving it to me.
How could you possibly consider Feared's content rigid. Throughout their few albums they've payed hommage to pretty much every good metal band with extremely varied tracks. Maybe it's just me, but in most of Feared tracks, I hear the signature of another known band, everytime a new one, but still there. The albums are like a medley of inspirations, and not trying to hide it. This one track's main inspiration (to me) is The Wastrel by Keith Merrow. And I love it.
Nyarlah quick response: I quite agree. Even as I quickly hacked out the response above I was aware rigid wasn’t the correct term. I was simply trying to state that the solo album has left Ola more unshackled from the constraints of a ‘death metal’ album. Sure, Feared is far more than traditional death metal, and is less tied to the genre than The Haunted, but the point I was trying to make is that he’s more free to experiment with a solo project, than he’d be able to do inside of The Haunted or Feared. I hope that makes sense. Pizza Hawaii, I wouldn’t expect to hear that on a Feared album, but I love it, and so I’m glad he’s doing a solo project with which he’s far more free and open to try different stuff. Since hearing these singles I’ve actually gone back and been listening to a lot more Feared again. It’s all good, just different. Where I wrote rigid I guess I meant that there’s a certain expectation of what you might find on a Haunted or Feared album that simply doesn’t exist in a project such as this. Again, hope it makes sense. Am literally responding as I climb into bed. Good night. EDIT: and I did say ‘more rigid’ not simply rigid. As in, the opposite of that is he has more flexibility with the solo album than he’d have in The Haunted or Feared.

But the one thing you have that makes you special is the heavy riffing. Your riffs are just savage. It's Viking sh*t.
