    Christian, perfect filming, editing, and narration, highlighting some absolute gems of Kitakyushu. I had no idea about the Kanmon Tunnel. Do you know if bicycles are allowed, or is it foot traffic only? It would be great to know more about access options for visitors. How wonderful is Mojico, too? It looks similar to the marina area of Hakodate, Hokkaido, with its beautiful waterfront and historic atmosphere. Great work again mate!

      Yeah Kitakyushu really surprised me, it had some much that I didn’t know about. I’d always been used to just the rural suburbs visiting family.
      And yeah you can take bikes through the tunnel, but it costs ¥20 (not sure why even charge at that rate ha!) but you have to walk the bike through also.
      Mojiko is cool also right, so many European styled buildings and rad cafes harbour side. Didn’t feel like Japan there, was rad something different!

    I really like that you can walk through a tunnel between the two islands. I did not know that existed. There’s an automobile tunnel by Detroit going to Windsor Canada. It’s the only international border that is underwater. Very cool travels today, mate! You’re going to make a great tour guide😎!

    • @hangswithchristian
      @hangswithchristian  2 месяца назад

      It’s so rad right! I didn’t know about it until I hot there and I was like, “this is actually super rad!” Haha
      I’d been to that area previously but never knew about the tunnel, so I had to share it!
      Oh is there really? That is so rad - so that means there is a full stop, check point, but all under ground and a mass of water??

    • @tpatrickl9539
      @tpatrickl9539 2 месяца назад +1

      @ the tunnel was built almost 100 years ago. The stop points are at each end of the tunnel. There will be a new bridge opening that will relieve some of the tunnel traffic. There is another older bridge. It is the busiest shipping bridge in the world. The old bridge is privately owned, the new bridge will be owned by the Canadian and US governments.

    • @hangswithchristian
      @hangswithchristian  2 месяца назад

      @ 100 years ago?? That’s wild, I didn’t even know that was possible back then. It’s reminding me of that movie ‘Daylight’ haha big flood in the tunnel haha
      New bridge sounds like good idea if its stacked with traffic!

    • @tpatrickl9539
      @tpatrickl9539 2 месяца назад +1

      @ the new bridge is going to expedite traffic. I can’t remember if it’s six lanes or not. I know that it’s going to have pedestrian and bicycle lanes. It’s a fantastic engineering marvel. It got connected over the summer. Now they are doing the finishing touches. Search Gordie Howe Bridge on RUclips, some interesting footage definitely.

    Another set of stunning locations, although while I don't really get claustrophobia in caves like that, UK's Channel 5 had a drama called Intruder where a man's wife did him in by leading him far into a dark cave, so he got disorientated, couldn't escape, and somehow, by morning, he was no more, even though in reality, that would take up to 18 days.
    Great video overall, too, and another with a very professional feel.It's like a segment from ITV's Wish You Were Here, when TV stations used to have programmes showing holiday destinations, and they'd tour a number of venues within the same area. I wonder if they have something like that in Japan you could appear on?

      Appreciate you tuning in as always buddy - and glad you enjoyed it! It was super fun 🙋🏽‍♂️
      Haha yeah that cave experience before going in I was surprised how far in we were going, like its a long way! But it quickly left my mind the fact I was almost 1 km deep into a mountain with one entrance haha. It was soo rad!
      And thank you so much for the kind feedback. Would love to make it onto Japanese TV, just to say I have done it haha. Though, never watch any Japanese TV here, it’s kind of like a constant ‘reacts’ channel every-time I watch something! 🙋🏽‍♂️🇯🇵

    • @DVDfeverGames
      @DVDfeverGames Месяц назад

      @@hangswithchristian No probs, and I've only seen clips of Japanese TV, but I think if I did live there, I'd be making great use of a VPN and watching TV from home 😬
      I once appeared in a segment on Channel 4's Right To Reply, in 2001. I've got that on my channel.
      Drink-wise, for me, making a cup of tea is a case of letting it stew for 15 mins, then taking the tea bag out, adding milk and sweetener, and microwaving it back up again 😃
      And I know that if I was walking through those low-positioned lanterns, I'd accidentally knock some over EEK!
