good video, the reason quest bindings didn't properly work for you is because you're supposed to use the oculus runtime to play the game on an oculus headset instead of steamVR, you can force default the oculus runtime in the quest link app's settings and that would probably solve your issues with link + virtual desktop its genuinely insane that they did this instead of making the game detect all types of input through every single runtime, like every other VR game on the planet does. and considering the absolute state chapter 2 has been left in, i doubt skydance are going to be issuing any further patches for these games :(
Ah, that's definitely an odd one, damn. Have only ever seen that from obscure indies, never huge budget games like this, that's wild. Lol Here's hoping they fix it, but yeah it's probably not likely. 💀
genuinely so disappointing how chapter 2 is in its current state and the fact that skydance doesn't have any intentions on fixing it more than they have already attempted to
@@FrontwaysLarry Oculus runtime being a necessity for the hardware is a gripe of my own, but a byproduct of the beginnings of VR and at the time, Facebook's desire for proprietary nonsense, sadly.
SLZ releases slightly faster than valve, so don't hold your breath. I love their work to death, they just definitely make sure it's very ready for release.
@@LeroyJenkins781 Oh I know. I loved BW, probably my second favorite VR game after this one. Just sayin' I thought they were both better games than HLA. Awesome handle btw 👍
I love this game, it was the whole reason why I bought my Quest 2, and it was so great playing it again when the Quest 3 update came out for it! Just brilliant.
Did you know when your on the quest 3 steam vr you can change the binding of the game to custom ones that people made for quest its pretty easy just go to bindings and there should be something like community or som and click there and choose your new bindings
I think Saints and Sinners is the first game on the original Oculus Quest that made people realize that developers can make real, original games on a mobile-chip VR headset that stand the test of time (or at least age slower than most other games). Without it, there probably wouldn't be Sniper Elite VR, RE4 VR, or the upcoming Arkham game.
I bought Saints and Sinners 2 and the first game, and I don't regret spending $80 on these games. I just finished the first game and am now playing the second. I recommend buying this game.
I've been similarly holding out on this one because of zombie fatigue, but it's been waiting quietly in my backlog for ages.... maybe the time is soon, since spooky szn is nearly upon us
To fix the control issues launch it from the "games" tab in virtual desktop instead of from steam. Took me forever to figure this out because I was having the same issue. But yeah they need to update it.
Any thoughts on the new VIVE Focus Vision display specs? Everyone is saying it definitely NEEDS a version with current micro OLED displays with pancake lenses as nothing else comes close, as the Bigscreen Beyond (costing about the same price you're asking) has proven with its best in class image quality. The current VIVE Focus Vision display spec you list sounds like 2016 display tech, so not worth the extra cost above Meta Quest 3, regardless of extra features, for PC gamers! If you want a place in the market, go for top end (OLED & pancake) & we will happily pay more than the price you're currently asking! Please also add an option to pay extra for VR gloves that support precise finger tracking (not just imprecise visual) with 8 button emulation by touching finger tips to thumbs & some forcefeedback ideally rather than clunky game controllers that put PC users off VR. I, along with those willing to spend enough to get a top of the range PC to make use of this headset properly, would be willing to pay a lot more for these features; true top of the range for consumer setup, rather than just a more expensive alternative to the Meta Quest 3!
Hey, I had the same issue with my quest 2. If It's the steam port I managed to get mine working by enabling the controller steam inputs. Might work for you.

@@bruhderp hey fundamentally its solid as its based of chapter 1's foundations and i personally had had a near bug free experience, but the quality was not there in world building and locations and items to npc character models, cohesive story telling and build up and a overall lack of information before the start of the second game or the concrete facts about what happened in the first game mainly the status of major characters. But although i had possibly the most ideal experience with chapter 2 i have seen and heard more negatives than positives, like games not launching or downloads not finishing on quest or pcvr, controller bindings on steam not supporting quest headsets and others without the use of community made bindings, nearly every mission has a decent chance to break the progression entirely with a good chance of the player not even noticing and that's just scratching the surface. play chapter 2 if you want more of the story while possibly sacrificing a quality experience and a chance where the game can f*ck you over more than Skyrim in terms of glitches. it is arguably more buggy and broken compared to the initial release version and most of the patches for the quest version hardly ever fix what they stated to have fixed (idk if its the same on pcvr) sorry for word vomit 0_0

Is this game a story or a survival game
Essentially a 60/40 split between both. Mostly story, some survival/crafting mechanics.
