Problem here is if you have little room to work with, if you're remotely in the way of the signal AT ALL the interference will always drop you to like 30fps with upwards of 100ms delays in some cases. The tech has come further yeah, but the problem still boils down to "thats a lot of traffic you're compressing into a wave to send across the room" because HDMI sends audio and video down the same channel, unlike Scart for example. Unless you have it perfectly within 30ft of the original device, the signal quality will be fast but slightly grainy and less-than-true to color than if you just plugged it in directly with a shorter cord... Its getting there!
