Also, if you listen to jukebox music, there's one track that has Al-An's VO lines as part of the track. And some of those HINT at betrayal heavily (probably leftover from plot changes during development). So I just went to that gate facility armored up, ready to fight it out. And was pleasantly surprised.

Im so happy for more subnautica content! It's my favorite game, and I love it when people recognize what a masterpiece it is. Below zero is okay. Al-AN is the best part.
Same i think in some parts below zero is better than the original do like it for sure has better graphics and some biomes are amazing not to say that the originals arent also amazing do i also like that you can find some npca in below zero wich ads a little bit more Of a less lonely feel wich has its good and bad sides i love both these games do
