    Love your videos, keep up the great work! I love seeing how versatile the Honda Fit can be. I always tell my friends it looks small but it can bend the space time continuum once you get inside. You take it to a whole new level.

    Nice... I've been wanting to do some car camping myself, but I can't bring myself to do it in this cold (I'm in northern Illinois. Devil's Lake is about 2 hours away).

      @@HondaFit4Adventure I'm sure that I'd be fine... I'm just having trouble bringing myself to do it. I felt the same way before I started hot tenting and it turned out to be no big deal.

    It’s always best to either lay on or cover an electric blanket with another blanket. This keeps the heat from escaping.

    • @HondaFit4Adventure
      @HondaFit4Adventure  Год назад +2

      Hi Sparkle, I did end up shoving the heated blanket into my sleeping bag. It probably just wasn't shown in my video.
      I recently learned that a heated mattress pad is meant to be laid on while an electric blanket is meant to cover up. Laying on an electric blanket could possibly damage the coils or wires inside because they are not made as thick as a heated mattress pad.

    I feel like all I would need in my SUV is a small tent on top of a mattress with a few blankets covering the mattress and a sub zero sleeping bag. With an electric blanket and a power source as well as boiled water in bottle. That is in 18 to 20 degree Philadelphia winters.

      A. I use to drive a truck with no back window at all.

      I have the perfect video for you! ruclips.net/video/Nkzsw8QcsTI/видео.htmlsi=k_9Hbdu-DOraOZQZ&t=81
      There's about 142cm from the seat to the trunk.
      A. If you have a driver and a passenger you could probably put the bags in the back diagonally.
      B. You could also have the passenger sit behind you and scoot the front passenger seat up and tilt it forward. This would probably give you enough room to slide your bags in straight.
      Let me know if you have any more questions.

    • @poulatak
      @poulatak 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@HondaFit4Adventure alright! Thanks!! Well I guess in diagonal they fill no problem!

  • @Turbo6019

    Is there a reason why you have not invested in a remote start alarm or something like that so that you don’t need to crawl your way to the seat?

    • @HondaFit4Adventure
      @HondaFit4Adventure  Год назад +1

      No reason at all.
      I actually brought up buying a remote start in my most recent Sub-Zero camping video (Time Stamped) ruclips.net/video/d3mXvnHtG_c/видео.html
      It took almost an hour for my windows to defrost that day. That time could have easily been spent in the sleeping bag while the car warmed up.
      Looks like I have another install video to make.

    • @HondaFit4Adventure
      @HondaFit4Adventure  Год назад +2

      It's in the works.
      So far there is a thermal imaging camera the faces out the front of the car.
      This allows me see any animals crossing further up the road while driving at night or any police cars parked off to the side with there running lights off.

    DON'T YOU OPEN any windows? A FIT doesn't have enough trapped air in the sleeping area to last 8h.

    • @HondaFit4Adventure
      @HondaFit4Adventure  2 года назад +5

      There are several vents located in your vehicles trunk to help alleviate air pressure while driving and closing the doors. These vents act as a pressure release valve preventing your windows from blowing out when driving or closing your doors. They also stay open enough to allow fresh air into your vehicle.
      "An exhauster is a vent that acts as a check valve to relieve air that is delivered into the trunk compartment from the passenger compartment to the exterior of the vehicle. Additionally, the exhauster also functions to relieve pressure when the doors, trunk or cargo hatch of a vehicle are closed"
      You can see the Honda Fit's "Exhauster" here ruclips.net/video/pHaX2q1mlso/видео.html

    • @HondaFit4Adventure
      @HondaFit4Adventure  Год назад +1

      I've upgraded my battery from a 151R to a 51R.
      The 51R battery comes from a Honda Civic/Accord and is roughly the same size as the Honda Fit battery with some more Cold Cranking Amps.
      This is a popular upgrade for the Honda Fit. I chose to get a Optima 51R battery and new battery tray (for looks)
      I also have a NOCO boost pack just in case amzn.to/3gVpeRh
