    Love the movie IDA and love hearing the directors insights. It IS beautifully shot. Such an effortless movie to watch.

      Annette Insdorf! She's an academic, I think at Columbia, and shows up documentaries semi-frequently. She's great!

    When he mentions "reverses" is he referring to shot/reverse shots? I assume so as he is talking about coverage but I'm just checking.

    @40:00 yet at the same time the film clearly explains (suggest) that after peasants killed the Jewish family, they have been able to materially benefit from the crime, by taking over the home of their victims...Pawlikowski didn't mention about the death penalty, but did mention about material interest of killers...
