Sepetou, the impressive monastery hanging on the cliff

We are going to visit the impressive holy monastery of the Assumption of the Virgin Alifeira in Ilia, which is known as the Monastery of Sepetos.
The buildings of the monastery are literally built on the surface of the vertical rock and rise on five levels that include cells and auxiliary spaces.
Inside the catholic of the monastery a special place is occupied by the miraculous icon of Panagia Sepetiotissa, which is considered the work of the evangelist Luke.
