Militech played a very minor role in Cyberpunk 2077 despite being the second biggest corpration in Night city
Yeah, true that, the story was very Arasaka oriented but at least now they play a big role in expansion
@@LastKnownMeal I would argiue that Militech have big role in CP2077 but is really good at doing job quietly. They "lost" suspicious big amounts of weaponary in Night City, basicaly arming to the teeth Aldecaldos and Maelstrom. They also have deal with Rouge so she make alot of work for them, and when Rouge is gone they go to V in person of Mr Blue Eyes. Don't forget about making NCPD dependent on Militech armament, making mayor their "puppet" and taking control of Badlands and Pacyfica (NetWatch propably working with Militech). I was thinking about FF 06 B5 and what if monuments are not monuments at all? They are Militech mechs that will go actvie on order FF 06 B5. All of this looks like set up to grab Night City. I strongly suspect start of big war in expansion
@@MarvoloPeeves Okay, few things.
Number 1, Militech would never build giant mechs in the shape of those statues. They have far too many Eastern influences. That's like slapping a Ford badge on a Nissan Z; yeah, it might say it's a Ford, but it's still very clearly the work of Eastern designers. Militech would never do that, because that would be them acknowledging Arasaka as a competent manufacturer. If anything, they're Kang Tao or 'Saka mechs, or shield generators made by 'Saka or Kang Tao to prevent something like the Night City Holocaust from ever happening again; if NC gets attacked from within like last time, pop the shield, and now the rest of the city apart from Westbrook, Santo Domingo, and the Corporate Center is protected from the damage; Watson, Pacifica, and the nearby Badlands remain (Pacifica being a major place for Kang Tao; Night City offered to sell them the land for the entire district if they cleared out crime in it). That would functionally wipe NC off the map until some megacorp restored it. Or, if it's attacked from without, pop the shield and ONLY those areas remain (conveniently, those are also the main three areas for the megacorps. Corporate Center is obvious, but Westbrook is where they all live, and Santo Domingo is vital to their production facilities. This also serves the side benefits of possibly having the damage hit Pacifica or Watson instead, allowing 'Saka or Kang Tao to swoop in and buy the land. Arasaka already owns the docks in Watson, and it would clear Pacifica out for Kang Tao and let them buy the land up).
Number 2, Aldecaldos and Maelstrom are going to have corp shit from Militech. That's literally target #1 on their "people we should rob" list, simply because they live in America and it's the most prominent megacorp there. And since robbing is literally what they do, they're gonna have their gear. Maelstrom literally exists to go after megacorp gear, and the Aldecaldos raid anything they need from convoys.
Number 3, Mr. Blue Eyes, making the mayor their puppet, and the NCPD using Militech weaponry isn't because of Militech; that's all NightCorp.
@@LastKnownMeal Yeay Not to mention there’s a bit of a lore Change when it comes to the table top globally arasaka it’s pretty powerful but any time off 2077/red in the new US at least militatech it’s actually the dominant force
I mean they are the reason Adam ,James , and David became psychos they kept producing new dangerous weapons and stronger stimulants and that's they're process in hopes they get another Adam Smasher

Lore of Cyberpunk RED universe is so deep and intriguing, Thanks for making these amazing Lore videos.. I also think we gonna have huge Militech apperence in Phantom Liberty, My biggest expectation is return of Morgan Blackhand.
I hope for Blackhand too, we shall see though if Mike allows it, if he does then for sure. But Militech is definitely a huge part of the story in expansion

Basically Militech is the Cyberpunk universe's Raytheon... Kinda disturbing how much the modern world looks like the Cyberpunk universe frankly.
I hope in future we get a choice to join either Militech or Arasaka
That would be awesome honestly I would join Militech I really like the designs of the uniforms and armor of Militech and ngl I kinda get halo reach marine and NCR ranger vibes from some of the designs

Just to remind you, Militech is basically the New United States’ military but run on corporate principles. In fact, the country only exists on paper as the corporation is the one calling the shots.
Well I'm sure NUSA governs its own municipal bodies anyway. Why would defense contractors bother with micromanaging entire populations of cities
So in 1996 the NUSA had a hard-on for the bullpup config. Even the Chinese IRL are moving away from their QBZ-95 bullpup and to the QBZ-191 (with the traditional magazine-in-front layout).

Meredith my waifu, anyway the history of militech and Arasaka is awesome. Can't wait to see how the story will pan out with us fighting for them in what looks like the new corporate war. Maybe at the end of it we either chose to side with them or betray them to arasaka like the devil ending. As long as there's Meredith content I'm happy 😊
I doubt Meredith will be there, or well if she is they have to decide on canonical decision for her in base game. If this is another Corporate war it will be amazing, but I also think it will be much more confined within NUSA & Militech rather than going all out. But I wish that one day we get 4th Corporate War game, that would be nice.
Yeah Idk about dealing with Meredith though you get a good weapon later if you betray her and just you know play along till you get to that point to get the gun.
Honestly I feel Militech is more Ruthless than Arasaka, simply because they have no qualms killing their own people. Arasaka no matter how evil they were had loyalty. Militech does not.
Arasaka isnt any better based on corpo v's storyline and depending on what ending you get in the game. There both shady and terrible.😅

In a news that I heard in a japantown elevator it was rumored that kang tao was interested in pacifica, will they also appear in the dlc? They still leave the door open with one of the jobs that was given to us recently in patch 1.6
No idea but they have been mentioned more and more now so I wouldn't be surprised that there is a mission or maybe a series of missions with them

I wish they would add 3rd person option for free roam just walking running and jumping animations and when engaging in quests and combat to go automatically to first person or at least let us use mods like bethesda on console
If only mods were available on console definitely, I doubt officially they will add that, even if it's just for walking. But maybe now with Unreal different things can happen, since they won't update the engine or create a system to even have mods on consoles within that engine sadly.

Not gonna lie, I kinda prefer militech over Arasaka for its military style and gadgets, however I do enjoy Arasaka style and designs. I also do like the fact that militech habor nationalist view of wanting America 🇺🇸 remain to remain a global dominant nation, similar to Arasaka with its nationalistic japanese 🇯🇵 views.
I really hope the upcoming DLC does justice for militech cause absolutely would join that faction.
