I have a Bipolar 2 diagnosis and Psilocybin makes me...me. It takes away the depression, anxiety and intrusive thoughts.
Motivation goes up, mindfulness and kindness goes up. Self-awareness is enhanced.
Psilocybin has also pulled me out of a suicidal pit of darkness. No session has cause hypomania. DMT has the same effects on me as Psilocybin. LSD doesn not. LSD = Technical. Psilocybin = Emotions, DMT = hypersonic head blast
With Bipolar; do not do Psilocybin often. Do it once and then wait a month or two before doing it again.

it's important to address that lithium and hallucinogens can have some serious interactions, and that in from hallucinogens triggering manic episodes the person will believe their depression has gone away

Maybe if it was the first episode, but mania feels way different than being happy and stable, and most people with bipolar are able to tell the difference

I work with a somatic (physical/emotional/trauma release) integration approach and we have had 100% success rate in clients suffering from normal depression tendencies. The clients have to be "clean" to start the perocess. I have a client with Bipolar 1 that wants to get Psilocybin treatment. I am very reluctant to do so while the person is on medication which she has been for over 20 years to regulate hyper manic bouts. How is this study conducted? Are the subjects off medications before they start treatment? Any clarity on subject would be very helpful.

Mam, I was full blown BIPOLAR rapid cycler very high highs horrible lows. I was on 7 psyche meds 8 months ago, . I started Prozac at 13. I tried to come off them to use psychedelic but went into psychosis and had horrifying akastisia. Had to reinstate. My body could no longer tolerate them due to akastisia, so I had to come off all of them because I was sliding into skitzophrenia. I found a girl on you tube that used a mushroom that contains muscimol. Pharmaceutical companies actually use muscimol from this mushroom to make benzos. I microdosed this and yes I almost died from withdrawal, but I'm 8 months our. I dealt with trauma with psylocibin and LSD and it no longer effects me because I look at it in a different way therefore how it effects me is different. I know this isn't possible but I am not bipolar!!!???!!! I still have trouble sleeping. I will occasionally feel the left side of my neck locking up. The vagus nerve locks up and gets stiff. Some mild jaw, throat lump, and swallowing problems. I can't tolerate hear. My body can't regulate my temperature properly. I had severe protracted akathisia with every symptom and I could not live through one more minute of akastisia. I learned akastisia was induced in people during times of war as a means of torture. I certainly believe it. From 13 to 49 I've experienced akastisia multiple times first starting at 13 with my Dr telling me to take it for two weeks and stop for two weeks. I did this for years. Yes, I was suicidal. I'm swimming in gratitude. I appreciate and enjoy being ok for the first time in my life.

I was bipolar and I was a rapid cycler. I've been medicated since the age of thirteen and I will be 50 in 2 months. I was on seven different psych meds. I used mushrooms. I have about nine months medication-free under my belt and I am not bipolar. I'm not depressed I'm not anxious I sleep well I've never had this amount of peace and normalcy in my entire life.

In my experience the high and mania I felt from my psychotic break was the exact same feeling I have whenever I am taking shrooms. The "oneness" you feel on shrooms is the exact same as it was when I was psychotic. Everything feels different and heightened.

I'm a French bipolar and don't understand English language very well, but i have a question !
One of my best friends take mushroom, he has no psychiatric issues and say to me, it was a very good experience for him.
I see few of your video and with my friend's experience, I want to take mushroom. My question is about take mushroom with my medication.
I have a neuroleptic treatment and don't want to stop it, so If I take psilocybin mushroom with my treatment, will there still be effects, and / or a trip ??
Thanks in advance for the answer, and for people who going to take time to read my commentary and why not help me with this question !
By the way, it's very cool to have people engaged to find alternative treatment for psychiatric disorder ! Thank you again

I stayed on meds and took mushrooms. 7 of them( psyche meds) I would microdose, especially if you have never tripped on psychedelics. Start microdosing and you will know when it's time to take more. Oh and yes they will still work. I also highly recommend looking into amanita muscaria to heal you from and get you off of pharmaceuticals. A year ago , 5, 10, 15 , 20 years ago I was seriously mentally ill on disability. I couldn't even come off of one of my meds much less all of them and I'm ,11 months med free. People like me can never come off of meds. Bipolar can't be cured. YES MY FRIEND I CAN AND IT CAN.
