I really want to study with your materials can you make there a PDF version of your podcast?
It hurts my eyes too look at the scene. It would be nice to look at the paper while listening to you from RUclips.

      00:01
      Hello, this is Tayoni.
      00:04
      Today is Friday, March 12th,
      00:08
and let’s start the eighth podcast.
      00:13
Originally, I was going to talk about language study from last time,
      00:20
but I think I would say much of a similar story in succession,
      00:25
so I'm going to try that topic a little later.
      00:30
Instead, I'll talk about something else today.
      00:34
How is the weather these days?
      00:38
      Here, where I live,
      00:41
the weather is definitely getting warmer right now,
      00:44
and it seems like spring is coming.
      00:46
The day time is getting longer
      00:48
and the sunlight is getting warmer little by little.
      00:52
When I go to the park, I can see a lot of yellow daffodils and forsythia,
      00:58
and I can see sprouts coming out little by little.
      01:02
It is said that it would rain for a while now,
      01:06
but I think it will get much warmer after this rain.
      01:12
Last weekend, I also cleaned up for spring.
      01:17
At that time, I put all my winter clothes in,
      01:22
so sometimes it's a bit cold,
      01:24
but I like the feeling of wearing light spring clothes.
      01:29
I just bought some spring clothes, too.
      01:33
Hoping that the weather will get warmer sooner,
      01:38
today I'm going to talk about some things that come to mind when I think of “spring”.
      01:48
The first thing that comes to mind when I think of spring is cherry blossoms.
      01:54
In Korea, cherry blossoms bloom all over the place in spring.
      01:59
      Seeing flowers, eating delicious foods,
      02:03
taking pretty pictures, and going on a picnic
      02:07
      is called 벚꽃놀이 in Korea.
      02:11
Some places are famous for cherry blossoms,
      02:14
so they also have cherry blossom festivals.
      02:18
However, it seems that all of the festivals have been cancelled last year and this year.
      02:25
Personally, when I think of cherry blossoms,
      02:28
the first place that comes to mind is Gyeongju.
      02:32
Gyeongju is a city with a long history in the southeast part of Korea.
      02:41
I've visited Gyeongju quite often since I was young because there is my grandparent's house.
      02:49
In spring, along the lake called Bomun in Gyeongju,
      02:55
cherry blossoms bloom in full bloom and it's really pretty.
      03:00
      Besides the lake,
      03:02
there are many other places where cherry blossoms are really pretty.
      03:08
      Other than Gyeongju,
      03:10
when I first lived in Seoul,
      03:13
I wished to go to the “Yeouido Cherry Blossom Festival”
      03:20
I went to the festival with my club friends for the first time
      03:25
and I remember that it was too cold.
      03:29
Whenever I went to such festivals, actually there were more people than flowers,
      03:34
so I came back after being hectic.
      03:40
Also, there were many old cherry blossom trees on the school campus,
      03:46
and the sad thing was that
      03:49
because the cherry blossom season and the midterm exam period were overlapped
      03:54
so I always felt sad to see the cherry blossom leaves falling.
      04:00
      For that reason,
      04:02
the flower language of cherry blossoms in Korea is also referred to as the ‘midterm exam.’
      04:07
Still, I remember watching cherry blossoms in the middle of studying for an exam.
      04:14
It would be great if I could see the cherry blossoms here this spring as well.
      04:23
Another thing that comes to mind when I think of spring is the new semester.
      04:27
      Unlike other countries,
      04:30
Korea starts a new school year and the first semester in the first week of March.
      04:36
Because of this, in fact, some times, such as when planning to study abroad, it becomes complicated.
      04:45
Anyway, so, when spring comes, it feels like everything starts anew.
      04:52
It's a little nervous, and exciting.
      05:00
I liked making new friends in a new semester,
      05:06
so I think I enjoyed that feeling a little.
      05:09
Of course, after graduating from school,
      05:12
these things don't really mean much,
      05:15
but for me, March is still like a month to start something.
      05:22
So, if I put it all together,
      05:26
I start on January 1st, and I start again on Lunar New Year's Day,
      05:32
and I start again in March.
      05:35
It seems like I keep getting a new mindset and only making new plans.
      05:42
Still, there's nothing bad with that. Right?
      05:47
I uploaded a video of the New Year's plan,
      05:54
but it's getting a little fuzzy.
      05:57
Actually, I really wanted to keep it well,
      06:00
so I made it as a video, as a podcast,
      06:04
but I think it's a bit difficult to keep the New Year's plan.
      06:09
Still, it's March again, and it's a new beginning,
      06:14
so I'm going to start again with a new mind.
      06:19
And, in the New Year's planning video,
      06:22
I said that I wanted to do well in graduate school too,
      06:28
and recently, my first writing assignment grade came out.
      06:33
I got a lot better grade than I thought
      06:38
and a lot of really good feedback
      06:43
so I'm in a good mood now.
      06:46
I wanted to show off at some time.
      06:49
Next month, I have another 5 thousand-word writing assignment,
      06:54
and I will try hard on that assignment as well.
      06:58
Since it's March, I'll try it with a new mindset.
      07:06
Another thing that reminds me of spring,
      07:11
for me, it is my birthday.
      07:14
Because I have my birthday in March.
      07:20
      When I was a student,
      07:22
as the new school year started in March,
      07:27
it was a bit difficult sometimes.
      07:32
Because before I got to know my friends well,
      07:37
I was a little embarrassed to say that I had a birthday.
      07:44
Then, on the day of my birthday or the day before,
      07:48
a friend would get to know and I suddenly received a birthday celebration like that.
      07:56
Then, my birthdays since I was 20
      08:00
are almost always with my uni friends every year.
      08:08
I always met with two friends on each one's birthday,
      08:13
prepared gifts, wrote letters, and so on.
      08:19
And the places we always meet were similar.
      08:23
We went to the Indian curry restaurant and izakaya near the school very often.
      08:31
It's not a place we used to go,
      08:33
but I always wanted to go there around my birthday.
      08:39
There was also a pub that we used to go to,
      08:43
but we were the only ones there every time.
      08:46
So we were worried that it would disappear,
      08:50
then it actually disappeared a few years ago.
      08:54
So, I was a bit sad because the space of memories disappeared.
      09:01
Among the videos posted on the RUclips channel last year,
      09:06
there is one of opening a delivery box,
      09:09
and the friends who sent it are those friends.
      09:15
Since I came to the UK,
      09:18
I haven't been able to be together with their birthdays,
      09:23
      so it's a bit sad.
      09:26
So this year, I definitely want to go to Korea and meet them.
      09:34
      Today I talked about spring,
      09:39
and next time I will come to another topic.
      09:44
In fact, it's not easy to decide on a topic.
      09:51
So, if there is any topic you would like me to cover in the podcast,
      09:57
please feel free to leave a comment.
      09:59
I'm always reading comments one by one.
      10:05
Thank you for listening so much today,
      10:09
and I hope you have a warm day.
      10:13
      Then good bye.
