As much as I love his astonishing talent - and, I do - I also so admire how intelligent, thoughtful , sensitivity and concern for others and generous he was. A true mix of everything good about being a human - giving away tens of millions of dollars to charity because he knew he didn't need it and would never spend it all. How many are doing that in his position?

There is an effect mashine thats called ''compresor''...his magnificent voice + that comprecor on that mic=ATOMIC BOMB Not every singers voice sounds good with that effect mode! May he Rest in Heaven
Pretty much everything you hear today, every sound from the radio, itunes, CDs etc is compressed. There is reverb, delay, compression etc, all singers have that, literally every singers have those effects, you have no clue what you're talking about, and please don't waste my time answering.
Correct, but George's voice in this recording is indeed heavily compressed. Either way it's a fantastic sound, in my opinion this concert is the best his voice ever sounded.

He often said in interviews that his happiest times were when he was performing and when he also felt really on fire when writing/recording but he did love performing, just not touring and all the marketing and promotion that went with touring.
I ve been listening to George s music each and every day since I heard his passing.I have always been a fan of his music that's why him passing away hit me so hard. George moving his hip in the beginning of the video is his very signature. He was a natural dancer. Though he wanted to get rid of the shaking his ass image his dance moves were mesmerizing. He had the full package, this stellar voice, the beauty he was gorgeous and was an exceptional songwriter. I m still devastated 3 months after his death. Will I ever get over it don't think so. Fortunately we still have his music George❤❤❤

In an interview George mentioned how much he missed having Andrew there every night to keep him grounded. I if Andrew might have stayed with George in some fashion, even in the background, if we might not have been mourning the loss of such a wonderful artist and kind soul.
It's sad he felt the need to break up Wham! to get more credibility from the media. Wham! was seen as nothing more than a teen pop group, and he felt the need to go on his own to get more credibility. Like you said he would've fared better with his friend around. Andrew could've stayed around and played rhythm guitar on stage.

I was there that night, first time i'd seen George live, seen him many times since, he is just so fantastic would love to see him again but don't think it'll happen
That was George at his best in the 1980s and early 1990s. After that he didn't tour until 2007 again but he also didn't have strong vocals any longer like in this video. Years of drug abuse are to blame for his singing voice and weakened his health. Now he's gone. So sad😔
+iwubfood I agree. His voice was like listening to heaven and then his addictions robbed him. It all could have been prevented and he'd still be with us but the drugs. alcohol and risky lifestyle were more important to him. God have mercy on his sole. He was gorgeous and talented beyond measure.

In an interview George mentioned how much he missed having Andrew there every night to keep him grounded. I if Andrew might have stayed with George in some fashion, even in the background, if we might not have been mourning the loss of such a wonderful artist and kind soul.
It's sad he felt the need to break up Wham! to get more credibility from the media. Wham! was seen as nothing more than a teen pop group, and he felt the need to go on his own to get more credibility. Like you said he would've fared better with his friend around. Andrew could've stayed around and played rhythm guitar on stage.

That was George at his best in the 1980s and early 1990s. After that he didn't tour until 2007 again but he also didn't have strong vocals any longer like in this video. Years of drug abuse are to blame for his singing voice and weakened his health. Now he's gone. So sad😔
+iwubfood I agree. His voice was like listening to heaven and then his addictions robbed him. It all could have been prevented and he'd still be with us but the drugs. alcohol and risky lifestyle were more important to him. God have mercy on his sole. He was gorgeous and talented beyond measure.
