Listening in January 2025!! This song brings back memories of that time with a certain nostalgia: friends from my youth, passionate looks, everything was sweet... special... good times... One day we grow up and think we know everything, that now I'm going to be happy, having a house, a car, a good job... it's a shame that it takes us so long to realize how good it was to sit on the sidewalk and look at the sky, imagining the monsters that the clouds formed... really good it was laughing at everything without much concern, with the innocence of a young girl from that time in her eyes... well It was really about enjoying these special moments, so full of dreams, fantasies, hope, so close to God. Ah yes, Billy Joel the man with a plan. He had a plan to conquer the world with his music and he did just that. To me this is his best song of all time. Although "The Sttanger" could be put in there as a tie. They are both great songs.

This is one of those songs that even if you're a child you would appreciate it because the music is just so beautiful. If this was released in 1978, I was maybe 5-6 years old when I first heard this. I loved it then, I still love it now that I'm in my 50's.

I've loved Billy Joel's music since I was 12, back in Lima, Peru. Honesty has been my song along with My Life, and Love you just the way you are. I can play them many times throughout the year. I finally got to attend a concert in DC at the National's Stadium. AND I LOVED IT!!!! Wish him nothing but the BEST of this world, and I thankful God gave us a Billy Joel!!!!

After my 15 the year of marriage....we found ourselves wanting something different...I gave her some space...but she never truly wandered.....I on the other hand did branch out....this song reverbs my memory all over again ...fast forward to 2021...38 yrs later ....she has been diagnosed with cancer.....I love her..she has always been my Achilles heel....so much love and angst ..but still my girl...all through hell ....and forgiving the very small things to keep her closer now than ever before....this song represents that to me ....on a very personal level...
My prayers are with you.It takes a strong man to admit when things are beyond your control and yet, you carry on.Blessings.
