G'day Paul, the Royal Enfield 750cc interceptor is l think one of the best Motorcycles ever to come out of the UK, I have been looking for a decent one for sale but not much luck as not many in Australia for sale, hope this one's on the road soon l want to see it's performance on the road if you get to test ride, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.
At about 1:51 in the video it looks to me as though when it spits back, the smoke comes from the carburettor manifold joint on the near side cylinder (right) to the camera. An air-leak there could potentially cause the problems reported by the customer.
@ibisfishing my tiger 650 was spitting, refusing to start, boyer ign.,the usual carb off check valve clearance etc, still the same. Battery showed 13 volt on the meter ,changed battery for one showing less voltage and hey presto, firered up first kick. It was one of them head scratching moments, but turned out to be a dead cell. Don't know how it would have fared with a points set up???
I agree... The previous owner must have thought he was making it more reliable... But I don't think that happened especially with the way it kicks back...

A bike I've always wanted, this will be an interesting watch.
Thanks for what you’re doing.. can’t believe you started it so easy..
Thank you!
Looking forward to this article
It'll come good. It's an Enfield.👍
Thanks Paul.
Valve clearance to tight hope you get it Paul my little guess
How exciting. A worthy follow on from that rather gorgeous Super Rocket with its bucket load of hidden glitches.
That’s a nice machine! Looking forward to the diagnosis.👍
hi Paul looks cool in the shop today

Thanks, it turns out there was a gasket missing from there, but there's more ...
If someone hasn’t got quite as much heft and technique on the kick start, then that could be a real sod to get going .
Looks nippy brrr 👍
Sounds like a carb problem pilot jet blockage maybe but a fuel system related fault.
Nothing you can't solve,
looking forward to you solving it. T
Weave your magic, mate.
Looks like she spat back through the rhs intake gasket .
Dead cell in the battery.?? had the same problem.
At the moment, my money's on a carb issue.

It would have been fine on points, that's why my bikes have stuck with them.

Plenty of spit. Ha Ha.
It looks a nice bike Paul , but it sounds poorly.😊
It does.. but now it’s in intensive care.. and I’m sure it’ll be up and running before very long..
