- Pagan Anarchist Thomas Sheridan is an Author, Artist, Film Maker, and Satirist who has spent a life from Wall Street to the Jungles of South Asia attempting to discover the emerging-often elusive-mythology of modern humans within the present technology-saturated era. Heavily inspired by the work of Carl Jung, Bruno Bettelheim, and Joseph Campbell, Thomas Sheridan has developed ‘Monomythic’ tool kits-which draw upon all the mythologies of the world. So as to demonstrate that on a personal and collective level; these legends and stories contain within them a subconscious lexicon of wisdom and symbols that can help all of us overcome the personal and greater challenges we encounter in everyday life. By not giving birth and nurturing these timeless archetypes within us all, modern humans are at a loss when it comes to achieving personal and social Individuation. Or a rounding out of one’s purpose in life. Their dharma. Their Monomyth. Inside all of us resides a wizard, a warrior, a bard, and a knight and by tapping into the power of these archetypes one can have a more fulfilling and creative life. Every challenge a quest. Every situation a saga. Every moment is an adventure.

I have to say that the main teachings (God/Gods, karma, Dharma, samsara, maya, moksha) of Hinduism (Sanatana Dharma) of all the religions seem to make the most sense to me in understanding the true nature of reality. Hermeticism also makes a lot of sense to me. I think Zoroaster and his dualistic teachings have been more damaging to the integration of the human psyche than even Abraham! By the way Thomas I always love listening to your VONs because they're always mind expanding. They are always filled with so much thought provoking material and knowledge you need more than one listen to take it all in!

Thoma! This was a delight and nourishing to listen to. The picture on the screen was fascinating and seemed to have the flow / movement within it as a Monet or Van Gough painting has. It drew me in to a dimension beyond those trees and skies. Its as if the only still bit is your hand. Re what you were saying about different sects evolving from dogmatic to pagan - maybe the faculty of both approaches is the same thing, though the dogmatic missing the boundaries of natural law and unilluminated in its perspective and the pagan within natural law and illuminated in its perspective. Thank you for the time and energy you put into VoN, TSII and HF -it keeps the magic alive.

Joseph Beys was actually a great conseptuel artist. Inspired by Steiner yes, but also shamanic impulses of the East. I love his work, both clear and deeply obscure. But always done in an empowering Way.
Went to see his art exhibition a long time ago titled'The Revaluation Is Us' - really liked it - one of the instillations was a video of him starring straight out of the screen- I think it was similar to the Abramovic piece I.e. Experiencing a different type of human interaction. Like you have, I would definitely use the word empowering to describe his work. I felt so good after seeing the exhibition and comforting to know there were others who could live and create from the perspective of spirit.
Good account of R101 although she had in fact flown several times before the disastrous Indian flight. She proved unsatisfactory, being too heavy and subsequently had to be lengthened to create extra space for lifting gas. She was also prone to going into shallow dives and did not receive a certificate of airworthiness until just before departure on the fatal flight.
It’s clear that Lord Thompson insisted on the flight and that the design staff at Cardington (many of whom perished in the crash) were not happy with the ship but were pressured to fly.
Incidentally my father saw R101 at low level over Coventry (on one of her test flights) and waved at the crew in the control car who all waved back; he remembered how sad he was as a small boy when he heard of the crash.

Hi Thomas - this is up my street. The one Brahmin becomes two with the Shakti, which is universal energy/desire, then she divides into three Goddesses - that create the spiral of energy that manifests creation. They are equivalent of the Triple Celtic Goddesses etc. Only at a lower level in each cycle of each universe do Brahma (creator), Shiva (destoryer), Vishnu (preserver) come into being and each of those has a shakti, So the feminine is completely present at all levels. Love your work.

The Brand story and connection with France and Arthurian legend times, reminds me of elements of the famous Hans Holbein painting called The Ambassadors commissioned by Henry VIII - King Henry was passionate about Arthurian legend, and the Ambassadors are French, and there is a hidden skull obliquely painted at their feet in the painting.

Hell is a place in the Trondheim region of Norway, with a train station, even. I think there is still a "Gods Expedition", where you can send or collect your cargo, there. I don't know if Barry Drewmore or Anthony Decco, has ever used that way to visit the nether realms, however ..
But, saying "Go to Hell", can mean "take a trip to Norway"..😂
I'm Bosnian and I can tell you the ethnic Boaniaks of Bosnia and Herzegovina are still deeply tied to Bogomilisim. We converted to Islam when the Ottomans came as it was an easy transition. Interesting as always Thomas.

The was a controversy in Bulgaria about a monument erected of Boyan the Magus - a bogomil that was recorded in yhe Byzantium court to the been able to turn into wolf. There is an Bulgarian author who claims that Bogomilism is connected with Tengrism - the old Bulgarian nature religion (not Bulgarian in origin) where the Khan is both a spiritual and political leader (like Gengis Khan's Golden Horde), but the teachings of the bogomils are unclear - they try to fit them in today's idea of vegan new-agers, but the turning into wolf clearly shows atavism.

I have ultimately so much to add...I just HAVE to report that Bran, the name, and association with ravens, is considered so ancient it's a pre-Indo-European name/word. It, of course, however fits the mythoi of ravens in shamanic figure's lore and the "cult of the head" a la Mimir and what many researchers believe to have been a wide-spread Celtic culrural feature. "Peoples, cultures, and gods are profoundly ancient." We don't know just how far the basic elements of these scantily preserved myths go in deep time. There's so much synthesis of cultures and peoples over such time scales...but I do believe there can be measured out a basic West Eurasian mythos and religion. Perhaps we romanticize the horse cultures of the Steppes a bit too much and miss deeply ancient themes and cycles beneath the Indo-European overlay. I don't just mean Neolithic agrarian cultures either...Especially in Scandinavia and Britain, there are rich and deep submyths and mixtures of cultures past.

There seems to be a problem with the audio. It sounds like interference from a mobile phone near a speaker or something. It comes in and out intermittently. I’ve heard it on other vons too. Its not there when the show is live, it only seems to be there on the upload of the recording of the show. Thanks for the upload as always
