Thank you , i just get it to work after hours of struggling . Just did a first delivery ,well i did get some fines for speeding and also one for red light 🤣And i was a bit too late but still made some money tough. This game is insane its so immersive thats crazy, fot now i really cant stop driving . Im using a metaquest 2 and a xbox controller ,now i really want a steering wheel .
Openxr supports now is great. 90fps with pimax crystal. There are still engine improvements SCS needs to make. Sometimes there are fps dips in cities. I have faith that SCS will keep making the vr branch better. There is one guy working on the vr branch. Openxr toolkit works great with it.
It doesnt work anymore. They completely screwed up. The whole vr thing, its now more complicated than ever to try to get it to work. They need to make it plug and play. Sometimes i wonder if microsoft knows what they doing. You can waste a lot of time trying to get these things to work and evey update do it all over again. It sucks

Thanks for tutorial.Game in VR works.So sad to play in VR basic maps,when you know that exists all Europe maps and even Russia.I tried to add maps DLC of Baltic see, France,Scandinavia etc.DLCs the same version as game version.Doesn't work.Got notice-Incompatibile.Game crashes.Does anyone have experience with this?By the way Promods maps without DLC doesn't work.
A friend of mine couldnt get his to work but I did, so I did it with him over the phone step by step and found that the oculus betas are not showing as an option in the drop down menu, so thats been the problem all along. Any idea how to fix this
Hey man, I have a Rift S and I just discovered I can play ets2 using it lol! One thing... I have all my settings gs on ultra and scaling to 150% but it still looks quite a low resolution in my headset... like... with my 2160p HDR monitor I can see the text on Ai cars number plates lol .. but in the headset I am struggling to read the road signs or even see what the speed limit is on my sat-nav 😢 makes it feel like I need glasses and my eyes are pretty awesome lol Any advice anyone can give me? Other than that ETS2 in VR is amazing so far... the Spacial awareness it gives you for difficult reverse delivery spots is insane 😮 love it! And best of all you can turn off that immersion breaking floating virtual mirror... finally!! Now I can just flick my gaze to the actual mirrors... 😍
Put the ingame scaling to 100% and increase the uset r_manual_stereo_buffer_scale "1.0" in the config file. I am using "1.3" for example and while it still doesnt look very good its better than before. The fact is ets2 is very unoptimized for VR so theres only so much you can do. There are more options like using opencomposite and OpenXR toolkit to upscale the image etc. You can also disable AA in the ingame settings to get more fps since it does very little if anything at all in VR.

Hi, I followed your steps but the game stayed as a desktop game, it won't go into VR mode. Also in the general setting there's no VR cinema mode option (I just bought the game today). I used Quest 2 and connect with Virtual Desktop (Oculus store version). I also tried with the latest Betas 1.48.5 and the result is the same. Do you know what's wrong? thanks a lot if you can help.
Hi, I resolved the problem. I had to use -openxr command instead, even tho I was using quest 2 because I'm connecting using wifi. I'm so glad I can play in VR now
@@tommydaaibooi I used 1.48, I didn’t tried 1.49 since it’s still in beta. If you used quest 2 and connect wirelessly using virtual desktop then just follow his steps and use the command: -openvr
it works thanks a lot and the command was openvr instead of openxr as you earlier said, i will have to do a lot of tweaking but i am very happy thanks again

f3 on keyboard removes navigation window from view,

I'm having a problem, I'm seeing 2 misaligned images in my headset while playing this in VR! Is there a bug? My ATS has no problem, only this.
the update wont update i click it it says resume then it says its updating then it stops but i have enough storage for the update

I have 14 FPS no matter what settings I change. Rx6950xt , 5800x3d. Reprojection was off.

@@tommydaaibooi another suggestion, I used the newly released steam link (free downloaded from quest store), it connected much smoother!
