    Comment on the granulation of the Ultramarine. Schmincke do three different Ultramarines, and the one that you are using, Ultramarine Finest, is milled a lot more finely so that it doesn't granulate as much. Schmincke also do a French Ultramarine, and a regular Ultramarine, which granulates a lot more :). They are all milled from PB29, just milled and treated differently.

    Do you know where I can find the pigments composition of the Schimcke Akademie watercolor, I was offered a set of the 24 half pans, I would like to know the pigments.

      Thank you Katherine! I was actually thinking about releasing the slowed original footage for my Patrons soon with their other real time videos (the $5 level). I am working on some ideas for some new "Paint with Me" videos here on RUclips but we'll probably work our way up to something more complex like this piece :)

    Great painting! What are the colors you added in the box? :)

      Thanks Eve! The other side is Daniel Smith watercolor sticks and two other Daniel Smith colors I picked up recently. Needed a place to put them ;)

      Oh! Nice! Seems like there's a bit of Cobalt Blue Teal in there, and some other I can't guess haha. The cobalt is a lovely shade :)

      You got it :) Cobalt Teal Blue, Serpentine Genuine, New Gamboge, and the little one is Quinacridone Gold, though I have to admit, I only bought that one thinking it was the classic Daniel Smith formula of true Quin Gold and not thinking to check it before I left the store. It's the mixture made to look like Quin Gold. Oh well! The pan next to the Quin Gold stick is the true Quin Gold, and the larger dark pan is Rose of Ultramarine.

      Can you see the difference between the two Quin Golds? I'm curious about that, and also about their New Gamboge (that has changed formulation recently too). I'm sad that single pigment formulas are changing to multipigments, but if the color is visually very similar I'm only sad on principle, I guess XD

      Eve Bolt - Bolt's Vault YES. I think there's a pretty big difference between them. The mixtures from Daniel Smith, MGraham, and Holbein (those are the ones I have) are much more yellow. It is particularly noticeable when its diluted. I do plan on doing a video on just Quin Golds (and other "just" videos for other popular colors) to show the difference.
      As for new gamboge I can't say. This is my first in that color.

    are you ever going to do a review on mission gold paint

    • @InLiquidColor
      @InLiquidColor  8 лет назад

      Yes! I have some footage already but I'm not happy with it. I've been wanting to redo it but with only time for one video a week it gets tricky. I'll try to move it forward in my queue :)
