The Monks also intended to not use cymbals and to keep it primal and they were U.S G.I's stationed in Germany. "What Goes On" by the Velvet Underground too and some Soft Machine songs. Also listen to "Mind Destruction" by the Oxford Circle from 1966, that's a really close example of an early motorik beat.
