Thanks for the review. I am one of the people that asked you about this watch and I am not disappointed at all. I think I'm sold. Once you've reached 50, those big digits are a blessing.
I’m on the same boat. I ordered one but my mom wanted it so I gave it to her. Might have to order me another one. Also ordered a Casio 800W which is smaller in size both the font is big enough to read without glasses.
A big fluffy dog with personality is the perfect description of this watch. I too was afraid of this watch due to my smaller wrists, but it wears surprisingly well and light on my wrists. Nothing to be afraid of!
This is a superb review, Tomas. You are a true down to earth guy who gives watch reviews that the average person like me can understand. I have this watch with the khaki color and just love the size and the big numbers. I also wear the tiny MQ24 and just love the sizes on both this and the tiny. Keep on giving great reviews, my friend.
Hi Tomas, I have owned this watch for over a year and I have to agree with all the positive feedback that you have given it, G shock’s are very tough but in my opinion they are a little overkill for most people, this watch is fantastic and has survived some punishment on my wrist and still look’s as good as the day I bought it.
its the 3rd time I got this watch since hte first two give them away as gifts but I keep comming back to this and love it. The legibility is amazing and has all I need as functions. The strap is better than anything I had. Love it !
Hi, this was my First Casio watch from the Youth series I then bought another similar Youth series watch & then 3 G Shocks The big numbers are a blessing for me because I can read the numbers without my spectacles Thank you Casio for this watch
good job tomas. i like small watches like the f-91w. sometimes i like my g-shocks and sometimes my metal retro casio´s but your review from the lf-20w made me fell in love with a new cool casio, think i buy it. THANKS BRO ;)
Big screen, big numbers, good buttons, good LED light, comfortable to wear and not expensive... I'd say this is just a perfect fitness watch. I guess you forgot to mention its acrylic crystal is a true scratch magnet, especially with such big screen.
I like acrylic better then mineral. It is less reflective, looks better and I can fix scratches. My mrw200h has plenty of scratches after the summer, but I just don't care anymore somehow..
@@TomasWatchReviews I agree and I also don't have anything against acrylic, but I guess some people, who are not aware of that, could get pretty disappointed after some time of wearing this watch. Which would be kinda pity. Just btw, I've owned a few acrylic crystal watches in the past, and I would never buff out the scratches... I've always thought they look more cool like that... like they have a personality. Well, I know that sounds funny, but whatever. :)
@@TomasWatchReviews yeah... and that they've gone through things with me. ;) Sometimes I feel sorry I never kept those watches... but well, it's just stuff.
Found your channel looking for reviews of this watch. Really enjoyed the review. I have small wrists like you, and so it is nice to see it on your wrist to get an idea of size. Thanks again, and now I am a subscriber i will have a look at your other reviews.
I just bought the grey negative version. I have Many Casios. I have my first one from the 80s. I like this one a lot. Yea the negative display is a little harder to read but I’m 60 and I can. Plus it’s cool.
I have 3 watches. Two of them are the 1500. One with positive display and the other one a negative display. Love them both! Another big plus is the 10 years battery! Love this review!
I bought this watch at a sale. I use it for reading the time and split times when running. The large digits helps when it's shaky. I actually got the tan with negative display as well. It looks very nice but the negative display is really the opposite to the positive: the legibility is very bad.
this is a beautiful watch with an amazing crisp screen with dark digits. this is the best sub $20 watch you can get in the US. Amazing features. Only wish would be for Casio to provide steel buckles for all their budget models, when ultra value watches from skmei all provide steel buckles. I think I may buy a second ae1500.
I wonder why it says "illuminator" on this watch when you can see the LEDs (unless it's just my imagination, but that's what it looks like). By the way, the watch itself is quite interesting, it has standard options, but it looks nice and is legible, the battery says "10 years" on it, I wonder if it holds the same backlight as it looks. Overall a nice watch, but would be much better with a normal green/blue porthole. I'm looking at this watch now and I started wondering, this watch has a battery that "should" last 10 years, and what about the battery in a solar watch? It is not eternal either, I read somewhere that its lifespan is also about 10 years. Conclusion if you follow this line of thinking. Why pay much more for a watch with a solar battery, run around outside and worry whether the watch will be charged? Since in a much smaller budget we can have a watch that will last the same period of time without "recharging"? These are just my thoughts, I may be wrong and I would be happy to read the opinions of someone more knowledgeable than me. :)
superb review Thomas as I mostly use automatic watches great help bought one also in khaki color as a beginner really appreciate if u can guide which G-shock to buy
My wrist is a little shy of seven It fits great! I can read it perfectly ( I am 69 years old) It reminds me of a Protec! It has a ten year. battery and super water resistance!
Hello Thomas and thank you for bringing your analisys to us all. Definitely a great deal with this fantastic puece, so thank you Casio too for doing it again, giving to us great stuff for few money in exchange. What an amazing brand. I'd just add an screen protector made of tempered saphir cristal that cost about 5 or 6 € in 4liexpr2ss. Saludos!
Hello Tomas great watch review. Absolutely love this watch I have the negative display. But I was wondering I got the screen scratched the other day do you know how I could fix it?
I have Three of them in different colours one has the Negative desplaiy having big numbers I can see the time In dark with out my glasses on also the are a great price
my wrist is a lil little of Seven but this watch looks great and I can read it( I am 69 years old)! In my opinion this a great watch! It looks like a Protec to me!
This watch could have been so much better if Casio only did their homework. It needs: - a fifth light button - a timer settable to the second - better backlight - current time in other modes (so much wasted space for nothing) - a vibration alarm would be the icing on the cake
You will get scratches on the acrylic glass but it will serve you well. I don't like the looks on 1100. But 1000 is amazing watch. It is difficult to choose between 1000 and 1500. Either one is great. I also would consider LF20W. Just 30m wr, but the watch is wonderful, great functionality as well. I wear it almost all the time now.
Depuis un an…, sous la douche, piscine… pas de problème ( juste que j ai du mal pour les changements d heure .. mais la montre elle même est solide et durable😊)

Amen they are. Precisely why I purchased.
Have the Kakhi model. Can't beat it. Bought it for the larger numbers from aging eyes. Can't do any better.

The only thing better than this watch is your video style - truly engaging. Thank you.

It wouldn't be a Casio without the "hourly charm"? 😅
My very favourite large digital watch. Difficult to destroy but when destroyed they are easily replaced with a new watch. It's a good business model.

Hello could you please send the link???
Will it fit a 5.5 inches wrist? Or will the straps be too loose on the last hole adjustment? Thanks!
sorry, don't know. It is probably going to be too large I am afraid..
