- Cue 26 from the new orchestration of Les Misérables. Composed by Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil. This instrumental does not contain an instrument playing the main melody, so it's all yours to sing or play.
You can use it for your cover, if you are kind enough to credit me.

Omg this is one of the best karaoke versions I had heard
definitely using this for my next audition
Omg been finding this for years. My les mis craze must have died down right before you uploaded the video. I sang this today and have to admit wasn't half bad
Final verse is “where my friends will sing no more,” not “where my friends will meet no more.” 😉 thanks so much for this, though, so much better than the og!
Good enough for what I need. But slightly quick but only at "oh my friends my friends don't ask me" it's quicker there but the rest of it im happy with
Wonderfully arranged. Eline, you are a very talented person.
A little fast, needs to be played at 0.75 speed. But other than that, really good!!!
This is the original speed?
Finally a good karaoke on this song
I can hear their voices singing
There's a grief that can't be spoken,
There's a pain goes on and on.
Empty chairs at empty tables,
Now my friends are dead and gone.
Here they talked of revolution,
Here it was they lit the flame,
Here they sang about tomorrow and tomorrow never came.
From the table in the corner,
They could see a world reborn,
And they rose with voices ringing,
And I can hear them now
The very words that they have sung
Became their last communion
On this lonely barricade, at dawn.
Oh my friends, my friends forgive me
That I live and you are gone
There's a grief that can't be spoken,
And there's a pain goes on and on
Phantom faces at the window,
Phantom shadows on the floor,
Empty chairs at empty tables where my friends will meet no more.
Oh my friends, my friends don't ask me
What your sacrifice was for
Empty chairs at empty tables
Where my friend will sing no more.
há uma dor que segue muda
gosto amargo que não sai
tantas mesas e cadeiras
e ninguém se senta mais
era aqui que se encontravam
foi aqui que começou
o amanhã que procuravam
e o amanhã jamais chegou
numa mesa lá do canto
viram o mundo renascee
tantas vozes levantaram
e ainda posso ouvir
seus gritos bravos e canções
seus últimos momentos
nas trincheiras quando o sol nasceu
meus amigos me perdoem
todos mortos, e eu aqui
há uma dor que segue muda
gosto amargo que eu bebi
são fantasmas na janela
mais fantasmas pelo chão
tantas mesas e cadeiras
e ninguém se senta, não
meus amigos, não se apaga
essa dor nos olhos seus
nessas mesas e cadeiras
já não há amigos meus
Luke Marques obrigada, gostei da experiência de cantar em português !
Although the original show was composed by Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil, isn't this particular song one of the few that were composed for the English version? Like "Stars" and "Bring him home". I think it is. I may be wrong.
I have the French concept album (or so it was called when I found it) and it has Seul Devant les Tables Vides, which is this song. It doesn't have Stars, but it does have Comme un Homme, which I think is Bring Him Home.
@@ElineHomburg Are you sure it's the original concept album though? I don't remember Comme un homme being in that. Easy way to find out: if "At the end of the day" is "La journée est finie", it is the original concept album. If it's "Quand un jour est passé", it's the French version of the English show, made in the early 90s (where Stars is "Sous les étoiles").
@@LaVFdeJL ah thanks for the clarification! It appears I don't have the concept album then. It's a pity it had been wrongly labelled when I found it. I like this version nevertheless, Les Mis in French is just goals. I'm going to do a bit if research for the original concept album, you made me curious!
@@ElineHomburg I actually have the wax record version of it, at least the one with only one record, I hear there's a double album version of it too. That concept album was the base of the show that the English creators of Les Mis saw in Paris and decided to adapt into english, as you probably already know. I was lucky to see the english version in London in the late 80s, and then the french adaptation of the english version in Paris in 1992. Check out my channel where I made two videos with that 1992 version music dubbed into two songs from the movie. Not perfect but worth a try. :)
Hello !! i want permission about making cover video using your beautiful mr !! Pleasee 😢
Hi! Thanks for asking! You're free to use this track, but please credit me as the source of the track :)
Might be good if you wanna sing the musical but the timing is quite off if you want to actually sing the song. Feels like it's rushing too much to use as a backing track for just singing instead of acting.
This is one of my older tracks and if I were to remake it, I'd definitely change some things. I did some research and the tempo of this song is very variable. I did follow the tempo as listed in my reference score, according to the Broadway revival of 2014. I may upload a revised London style track in the near future!
@@ElineHomburg I can't wait for that day :) Trying to knock some songs out of my list to record, and I really want this one part of them.
Any chance you can tell me the instruments used in this please????
A basic musical orchestra, so reeds, horns, trumpets, strings and a main part for classical acoustic guitar :)
Eline Homburg thanks
Eline Homburg this is wonderful! I’m hoping to get your permission for a student to use this for a virtual performance in a scholarship fundraiser? I can provide more info/details if needed. :)
Is this in B flat minor?
It is! For convenience I list the key in major, but Db equals to Bbm!
Thanks so much!

窓に映る影 床にも姿が 空の椅子とテーブル 友はもういない
ああ友よ聞くな 散り果てた意味を
空の椅子とテーブル 歌声もない
This is way too fast!!! Thumbs down
