Hey Brae, good to hear from you again. I always like the way you combine storytelling, videography, photography and music. Nice to see you cover a new area, too. Thumbs up and looking forward to the next vid
Man, I tell you what. Seeing this video brought me back home. I'm from Northern Washington, a bit more north than you went were. Currently, I'm in Texas with the U.S. Navy. We were given the chance to go back home over the holiday break this last December, but I decided not to go. Having been able to talk to people from back home was good for being able to sure up my morale, but seeing this video, and the few strips of I-5 I'd mindlessly drive up and down...that filled in a great spot in my soul. Love seeing your videos, Mr. Brae, sir. I will you well, and I greatly appreciate someone else who loves the majesty, magnitude, and peace of what the Evergreen State has to offer.
Man I can't say how much I enjoy your videos Brae, and what is better than kicking back with a cup of coffee and watching this. It was a long time coming - I hope you and yours are doing well. Cheers.
I ended up at 45, 105, 300...I love the video shot of you walking with the tripod over your shoulder - strap hitting you in the back. I cannot count how many times I've felt that. Keep going - I can see your personal style emerging. Nice job. That overpass shot was fire.
Super stoked to see you showing this part of Washington in your perspective. I lived there for 15 years and drove by almost every frame you took, even got coffee every morning from the coffee shack, and never saw the compositions you took. Always fun to see home from your perspective. Thanks for making these videos! Cheers!
@@BraeHunziker my pleasure! Thanks for taking pictures of Conway! It’s a hidden gem! Fir island was a great place to call home. You should do some pics of downtown la Connor too. It’s small but cute and has a good bridge.
Good to see a video from you again. Those refineries in Anacortes are so bizarre. The waters of the sound and gorgeous surroundings then these two grotesque behemoths. Yeah, I get it, we all need gas but still, they are UGLY!! Nice job at the pass! Thanks for allowing us to see you experiment with ND filters, appreciate it. I learned five stops ain’t enough! Either that or I need some 32 ISO film.
This video is different, not because of scenes, songs, photos, or capture...not because of the beard :D it's about the FEEL, and that feeling when you go for a photo walk and forget about problems, etc...at least for a couple of hours, and it can be like therapy.
Welcome back young man. Some very special shots in the video, deception pass definitely a highlight. I’ve got the 105, 75 and 45 for my 67 and they cover pretty much everything I want to capture.
Missed your videos, love to see this beautiful Washington little towns. And the way you capture them in the photos and video makes me feel there in the moment, really cool storytelling style.
Man i have been in the SAME boat here in Northern Michigan. There was just a news headline about how we've have a total of 5 minutes of sunshine so far this year. Brutal. Good to see you back out and about. Makes me want to do the same. Stay well!
I've taken that exact same photo of the lake near deception pass. I was lucky enough that the water was glass and there was no cloud blocking the mountain. One of my favourite photos ever. Highly recommend taking the scenic route along Chuckanut drive. You'd get some amazing shots from there.
Awww man. I was hoping you would've ventured into Oak Harbor. I think you would've liked exploring Coupeville and it's old timey feel along with Fort Casey. Would like to see you take pics of my town and your take of this little Navy town. Hope you had fun around this area and Deception Pass. I get the PNW sad when winter hits. The camera of mine hasn't been out since winter hit.
Good to see another of your videos. As always, it makes me miss the West Coast (used to live in Vancouver BC, now Quebec). I note: (1) Subaru product placement, imagine them as a sponsor! (love my Forester); (2) The low key bald eagle flying through your drone footage; (3) looking forward to your Howe Sound trip video.
Hey Brae, good to see you back here! I really liked the photos from the second half of the video, some great stuff (not a fan of overcast weather when it comes to photography!).
Oooooo, I thought you were going to photograph Dick's Burgers. Glad you took a long video segment of it, I love iconic buildings that say a lot about the place they're in. It's always nice, and interesting, to see a new area of Washington featured on your channel as well. Looking forward to the surprise announcement. Tomorrow? Cheers!
Haha yeah I didn't have it in me to load another roll while I was there, but I want to get a photo of that specific Dicks Burgers at some point. I love that building. Announcement coming tomorrow :)
i ended up getting a bit 'unconventional' with my p67 lens choices...i almost never used 35 or 50 mm in 35 mm, but used 20-24, and 85 for people, so...a 45/4.0, a 165/2.8, a 300/4.0, and 1000 mm.(unconventional enough?) love the 165, and the 'sweep' of the 45, and the 300 gives some of that 'subject isolation' effect...i liked the bridge/stairway shot...
Curious as to what factors made you select the Pentax 67 II over the Pentax 67, whether you are the original owner or purchased it used, and whether you already have a camera tech that you are familiar with? Never used a 67 II however, my understanding is that the viewfinder/focusing screen is significantly brighter than the one on the original. My other understanding is that Pentax no longer has spare parts and due to the electronics of the 67 II, there are very few technicians who work on them. Point being, as much as I'd like to have one, being a 20-something year old electronic product, I worry about ending up with a +$2,000 paper weight. Recently had an original 67 repaired, and I would not say that it was, "easy" finding a qualified repairman to work on it.......and I live within 100 miles of two major cities.
I recently made a video with a full in depth breakdown of why I went with the 67ii over the 67 and why I continue to use it. ruclips.net/video/bLrrNq9afok/видео.html
I just picked up the Pentax AE pentaprism finder for my 67ii and I’m curious on your opinion with its accuracy in center weighted, and matrix metering.
I use the built in light meter in the Pentax 67ii, which is very accurate. If I’m shooting on another camera without a light meter, I’ll use the MyLightMeter Pro app
@@jordansmith4353 well, if you think about it you can get a bigger range of perspectives because you can also get on the ground if you want to, but a shorter person can’t get taller. Like in concerts, taller people have the advantage

Good stuff. I’m wondering if maybe the filmed footage is to good? Looks amazing but perhaps steals a bit of thunder from the Pentax? Just a thought.
