After two and a half years of being homeless I've signed my first lease in 15yrs. Thank you so much Annoying (R.I.P. Chad) your music has brought me so much joy whilst times have been hard. Thank you Zoran for taking the time to film regular folks and sharing their experiences.
Unfortunately covid has got me homeless again. But I met a guy yesterday who offered me a well paying job. I've been sleeping rough for two weeks now. I found a beautiful spot by the river and somewhere safe to sleep. The council guy has left the BBQ open for me so I can charge my phone. Hopefully the sleeping rough doesn't last much longer
if you guys only knew how much this song has actually saved my life. I'm a fucking dirty kid... alone out here on the road as a female and I listen to this song when I need motivation or inspiration to keep going ..

Video was taped in my hometown (Portland Oregon) used to hang out under the overpass by the train tracks where the quarter pipe is or used it for safe travels back back gateway cause cops don't normally go down there.. (Hollywood fred Myers the tracks that run by the Banfield for people who know the area) and ofcourse spent countless days busking and pan handling for get wells in old Town where they were too. Kills me I didn't run into Chad rest easy comrade this song kept me going all those days it's kinda our theme songs on the Springwater trails.
So I've been clean off IV heroin use for a month now. Had to go to hospital for heart problems. they couldn't find a vein w/o this vein sonar thing. Ended up doing a central line to heart thru my neck. This is a PSA.

You are welcome! Emily, you are fighting very serious battle. It's important that in moments of distress you keep seeing a bigger picture of your well-being and that you know that troubles will pass. Many rebound when some kind of life problem hits harder, which is understandable. I think it might be good to focus on some additional task, lets call it "higher" goal that would correspond well with the core of your being and with your desires so it can give you an extra energy when you need it. I am not an expert, it's just my theory. I hope it helps. You have already made a huge step, you have to focus now on every other smaller step and you will be fine :) All the best!

I feel so many mixed and contradictory emotions and judgements when I see these kinds of videos. I imagine there are many reasons why people end of living this way of life. It is probably best to not form too strong opinions about it bc all opinions are warped by our own egocentric biases where our awareness is limited by our experiences. It makes me grateful that I realized I had other options and my lifestyle was a choice when I was finished with my several years of hitchhiking around and being a bum. It was some of the best years of my life bc I was young, but it was a hard life and largely self-imposed, at least in my case. I am grateful for the experience however and wish everyone out there on the road all the best in finding a productive purpose in life. Be well and aloha.
