Welcome to your Daily Dose of Internet where I search for the best trending videos, or videos people have forgotten about, and put them all in one video. I upload 2-3 times a week to keep video quality high. I always ask for permission to share videos that I find!
Also in this video, this very cool painting looks like a paper creation. A bird sounds like a cat. A dog appears to be very guilty after eating taco bell. A man tries to avoid doing work.

Did the people honking their horns at the frozen self-driving cars think that would get them to move?
People always want to be living in the future, and then when it comes, they aren't prepared.
Maybe not all of them knew they were self driving cars?
Like the people in the far back who could not see that well? But yeah I agree it was stupid
Apparantly
Apparently honking at self-driving cars has the same effect of honking at regular cars driven by people 😅
It's quite annoying if they do that next to me like come on no one is driving

Why would you be impressed with her lack of awareness?? 😂
Hi
"Why not?"
I support that little girl! Live your wildest dreams! Push her off!
That's NOT an intrusive thought. An intrusive thought is often a distressing, uncontrollable, or disturbing thought or urge that can pop up in your head at the worst possible times and cause you to feel like a terrible person for thinking these things. They're almost always harmful things that you would never actually do.
TW: violence, self-harm, suicide
For example, say you work in a kitchen as a prep cook. You're cutting vegetables and suddenly, a thought pops in your head. "What if I were to attack my coworkers right now with this knife?" Or say you're driving along the highway at 100 km/hr with your kids in the car and suddenly think, "What if I just swerved into the barrier and killed all of us?"
They're usually uncontrollable thoughts of things you would never do, never WANT to do, or never even consider doing. Often illegal and definitely socially unacceptable. Yet, your brain still shoves them in your head anyway. Against your will. They can just be fleeting thoughts or flashes of an image in your head, or they can be incredibly hard to shake and potentially life-ruining for people who experience these types of thoughts regularly. People who have intrusive thoughts this bad might not want to even leave their house out of fear of what thoughts they may get. Like I said, they're the kind of thoughts you really don't want to be having.
Intrusive thoughts are common in OCD and PTSD. I'm diagnosed with BPD and C-PTSD myself and I deal with them from time to time. They're usually about harming myself like, "What if I just jumped off this rooftop?" or "What if I were to just...step into the middle of the road right now and walk straight into oncoming traffic?" I'll have these thoughts even though I'm not suicidal right now.
Intrusive thoughts can often make you feel like a terrible person, but know that they aren't a choice. Having intrusive thoughts don't make you a bad person. They're uncontrollable thoughts that manifest in your head whether you want to think about them or not.
This little girl simply noticed how dangerous it was for that woman to be sitting on the ledge. She pointed out how vulnerable her position is and that anybody could just push her off the ledge if they really wanted to. She's right, even though it's unlikely. She didn't say that SHE wanted to push her. It isn't an intrusive thought, because just about anybody in this situation would see that woman sitting on the ledge and think this. It isn't intrusive, it isn't uncontrollable, it isn't even an impulsive thought, which is what most people confuse intrusive thoughts with.
Impulsive thoughts are much more common and experienced by just about everyone. Like say you're watching a movie during a really serious, emotional scene and the entire theatre is silent. You suddenly think, "What if I just screamed right now?" Impulsive thoughts are much less uncontrollable and distressing.
I can see where the confusion comes from, but people are unintentionally spreading information that can be potentially damaging. The constant mislabelling of impulsive thoughts (or even just normal thoughts) as somehow being "intrusive thoughts" just really trivializes and downplays the hell that people with mental health issues and constant intrusive thoughts often have to deal with. Furthermore, telling people that their impulsive, or even normal thoughts are "instrusive" and that you should "never say them out loud" can be damaging.
That mother telling her daughter not to say these things out loud wasn't really the best thing to say, although I'm sure she meant well. In that particular situation, her daughter was actually pointing out a safety hazard. Pointing these things out could even save someone's life. But now that girl might think that noticing someone in a vulnerable or potentially dangerous situation is a bad thought that she should never say out loud. That could potentially have unwanted consequences.
That’s a hella long sentence

Self driving cars get into road rage and refuse to move.
The future is here everyone.
Love the self driving cars malfunctioned thing. Just one of the many reasons why self-driving cars are a bad idea and can be very problematic. People are and money-hungry corporations are so fixated on money and growth that they only ask if they can, but not if they should. People need to think about the consequences more! What if someone hacks the cars and then causes you to purposely crash and die? What if someone hacks them all and uses them as a mass terrorist attack? What happens if it randomly malfunctions while driving and you're not prepared to take control or not able to take control and then again you get into an accident? So many reasons it's not a good idea!

The traffic signal timer is going to be the catalyst of so many mishaps, I'm calling it.
Yeah, instead of watching your dash to see when the light will change, how about you... I don't know... WATCH THE LIGHT?
If you are waiting and first to go at a red light and there is a traffic light for oncoming traffic directly to your left, you can usually look up and, at night, be able to see the glow and color of the light for oncoming traffic. If you are just at an intersection where the other sets of lights are visible, you can do this anyways, you don't need a timer. @@WarpigA23
It was wrong about 3 seconds, so its pretty dumb and dangerous
It took way longer than the 5 seconds that were left. Not full proof.
Doesn't have to be, there is already the tech in use that prevents it being a problem. Putting the countdown onto the actual lights, instead of/as well as the dash being the most obvious choice, otherwise, just add the Australian pedestrian crossing sounds & vibrations into the display.
Aussies are funny when travelling to the US, they get "stuck" at pedestrian lights & stand there for multiple cycles chatting or on their phone or whatever, cause there's no "move" sound to trigger them to cross.
In Australia, no-one looks at the intersection, people just reach roads & auto-stop, cause the beeping subconsciously stops them & when it changes to green, the noise triggers movement in mammals, so humans & even dogs automatically begin to walk. Even without ever looking up at the road, Aussie pedestrian deaths are WAY lower than in the US, it works & the guy who invented it made a deliberate decision NOT to patent it, so as to make sure it was accessible to everyone & saved as many lives as possible. Most of the world have adopted that system, some countries even improving on it, the US being the outlier, but if it adopts it for cars, problems with this system can be largely avoided
That painting is insane. It still looks like paper even after you zoom in on it. Very well made

NOT an intrusive thought at all and she was right in saying it out loud. Shows that she cares and is aware if her surroundings. Now if she said that she herself wanted to push them off the cliff, then that’s a different story
Normal thought is - ‘She’s at a dangerous position, she could slip and fall’. Thinking about someone pushing her off intentionally is not an usual thought.
@@pk3That's incorrect.
@@Senile_Yeti If you also think about pushing people off cliffs you should seek the help of a mental health professional.
@@2011blueman the kid was not talking about wanting to push the lady off the cliff. she was pointing out the danger. it's like recognizing that while you hope the people around you aren't psychos, there IS a very real possibility of someone doing this. having that awareness is self-preservation. look at how many times people have died after some psycho pushed them onto the tracks in a subway. that little girl's "intrusive" thoughts make her less likely to put herself in a position where some psycho can easily do that to her. it strengthens awareness of the reality of danger. self preserving thoughts would be a more accurate description rather than "intrusive"
@@2011blueman She isn't thinking about throwing her off the cliff, she is thinking that it would be easy for someone to throw her off the cliff-big difference. She was merely doing an observation, not being malicious. And she is right. You should always be mindful of your surroundings

That traffic light countdown was WAY off by at least 5 seconds.
That's not an intrusive thought. That's being smart and thinking things through
Yeah, I don't get it either. 🤷
When you say something like that, everyone looks at you and automatically assumes you're gonna do that to someone.
Like, no, we're concerned that we're gonna bear witness to someone dying due to unlucky circumstances. OCD (if it gets to that point) often revolves around being worried about wanting to hurt other people and not knowing about it, so why the fuck would we do that? 😅
We're more concerned about Joshua Tree-like numbnuts thinking that would be funny, in this particular case, to push that woman off the ledge, and it becomes a crime scene when she hits her head on the rocks similar to a quarry jump. We can see the WHOLE thing before it even happens, and it's scary, so yeah, we voice that is a concern. At least until we're threatened with involuntary hospitalization due to "being a danger to others." 🤦
