- In today's video, I tackle one of my favorite movies of 2022, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. I had no idea this movie would be as good as it was when I watched it. Many people gave this movie a ton of praise when it came out so I was worried it wouldn't live up to the hype. No worries, though, because this movie was fantastic. Antonio Banderas reprised his role as the slick Puss in Boots, with Salma Hayek reprising her role as the sneaky Kitty Softpaws. Both being back brought great chemistry to most of the scenes. Another fantastic addition to the cast was Wagner Moura, who plays the Wolf, a grimacing villain with a killer whistle. Alongside the great voice actors comes an updated, unique, spider-verse-inspired animation style, which breathes life into the movie and makes it a visual pleasure to watch. The main topic of this video involves how this movie instilled a positive message about living life to the fullest and never taking anything for granted. I go over how a specific scene lays the foundation for how all the characters think and feel about their lives in an in-depth analysis. This movie discusses essential issues like loneliness, anxiety, and the fear of death. It does it with such care and pride that it left me a changed person after watching, hoping to instill some lessons learned into my life. I hope you enjoy this video, it was a blast to make, and I wish you to see this movie because it is a stellar and fantastic time.

Fortunately, my girlfriend and I did catch this in the theater. Even though we are both of retirement age, we still enjoy animated films. I enjoyed the film in the theater, but it wasn't until I bought the Blu-ray and watched it at home that I realized what a gem it truly was. Best movie of 2022, and best animated film in a decade.

Great review! I agree with you. This movie was made with a lot of heart, art, craft and care, in every respect. And the attention to detail is amazing. It is a gem. I have seen it 6 times in theatres and will go a 7th before it leaves.
