Guitar skills...... ehhh let's just give him an incomplete. Good thing he's got a band behind him at his shows. Also, is his guitar tuned like an entire octave lower? Bass strings?

He has been quoted as saying that he does not consider himself as a lead guitarist. He was absolutely terrified at doing a guitar solo at the Grammys because he just doesn't do guitar solos. He's self-taught, that comes with limitation as well as an openess to explore musically. He writes amazing songs and creative tunes on the guitar though.
