I hated this bike when it 1st came out but after test riding one I have never been on a soft tail that can corner like the new fat bob. It corners like a sport bike lol. Nice bike.
Well Nice. I just got mine last week. I’ve had a few Harley’s in my time and loved them all, I know it’s a big change to the norm but I love it. It is now my everyday Harley. Can’t fault it. I changed from my Lowrider S to the Fat Bob, I was not sure I did the right thing, but now I am. Well done Harley.
Skully any regrets?? I fell in love with the low rider s then I went to buy one and they stopped making dyna. I could have bought one for the same price as the 114 Fat Bob but it made sense to get the newer bike for the same price.

Nice. I got the same setup. I’m having issues with the factory passenger foot peg relocation. Did you move those to the whole covered with the plastic plugs? I can’t seem to take the mounts off due to what appears to be locktite.
The Varsity Dad if you never got the answer, you do relocate to the hole with a plastic plug... my footpeg bolt was actually cross threaded into the factory exhaust bracket and fought it the whole way out
marcthecherrypicker it was a cold start, when I first got mine I was paranoid it was going to die when the idle dropped after warmup. Good clean choppy idle
Love the look and sound. I want the deep character rumble, but not sure I want it over loud. How do you find the volume? The look is just spot on tho 😊
it sounds like quite a fast idle, not quite the 'potato potato potato' previous HD's have had. I wonder if a cam would fix that? Although i know the compression ratio is different on this bike compared to the other 114's. Still has the bark when on the gas though. Nice bike mate
What happened to the slim S? these 2 bike are literally they bikes i want. In about 2 months i have to choose which one i want. I cant do it. one day i want the slim s, the next i want the fatbob
If mine is bone stock, can I just run straight pipes? (not changing the intake it must keep the same fuel to air ratio) ... Would it throw a code? ... And then if I must go to the dealer for any warranty work I put the oem back
Doctoberfest598 really happy with fp3 on my fxfbs with V&H slip one. Was popping on decel and a bit woolly, fp3 cured that. Feels taught now and no popping. So easy to use. What's its shortfall?
Well for a lot of people it's the connectivity issues. I've fought with my fp3 for hours on end. Using multiple phones, with no luck. Both iPhone and Android. That and once the fp3 is married to the bike. It's stuck for that bike for life. You can't unmarry the device and say trade in your bike and use the tuner on the new bike. You are locked in to that bike and that bike alone. I've had several tuners that allow you to unmarry and install on different vehicles. So now on top of buying a new bike and the fees, now your going to spend even more for a new tuner. Now for the main gripe: All in all it's an "okay" device for a intake and slip ons/exhaust. Also monitoring things like rpm, head temp etc. ANYTHING beyond that, you are pretty much fucked. No tuner worth his salt is going to want to fuck with a cell phone to tune a bike. Want some light cams? You'll have to ditch the fp3 and get a different tuner to actually run a safe tune. Any motor work, fp3 is not going to get you the power you'd normally get safely. The "canned"/OTS (off the shelf) maps I would not trust for anything other than intake and exhaust. You'll spend a few hundred on top of what you spent on parts. Only in the long run, to spend even more than you would have if you just got the power commander or similar tuner. Also "autotune" is a joke. You can not tune a bike automatically with narrow band o2 sensors. You need a a wide band sniffer, and someone who knows what he's doing.
In the interests of been a keyboard warrior you need to finish it by getting a black and silver pressed metal plate. UK yellow plates just ruin the look
CarPRIDE VLOGS UK yellow plates are ugly, but black and silver is illegal here unless the bike was registered before 1972 (from memory). You’d get pulled over on a regular basis
Peter M My 2018 Fat Bob has a pressed metal black & silver plate mounted sideways and I have yet to be stopped once. Even had a traffic car behind me on the M62 last week and he just carried on his day. Last Harley I had 6 years with one and not a single issue. But yes it’s against the regs 🤭

I had one on my classic Guzzi and I must say no cops ever stopped me although technically it wasn't allowed to have one. I spent a lot of money on a side-mount licence plate holder from Germany, which is beautiful build quality, but it was a mistake not getting one with a hinge. I've bent it a couple of times and my plate is almost legal size. I might have to bite the bullet and buy something hinged and get that black and silver plate!

Amazing how much the short shots improve the aesthetics. The stock pipes are atrocious, but with the short shots it looks stunning! Beautiful bike!

After you get used to it throw a camset and a flash tune on the dyno and see how you like it even more . Nice ride

I bought the side mount plate from my Local Harley Dealer in Uppingham it has a cool spring action where it can move if snagged
He didn’t put it in neutral before putting kick stand down lol.... hate it when I do that same thing

justine overton If you want deep rumble there are better exhausts. V&H Short Shots are loud but not so deep.
Which one do you think will be the best for deep rumble? I have seen a video with two brothers into one, sounded very deep and nice.
V&H Propipe has a deeper sound but I don't know if it is available for M8 yet.

potato for carburetor bikes Harley does not make any more, that time is sadly dead if you want that go buy an old HD, now it's all injection.

yes you can you dont need to buy tuner unless you got new air intake.
