I love your outdoor ritual area, with the stone altar and the garden around it! It looks exactly how I always envision my ideal sacred space to be. I'm happy to have found this video. Blessings!
this is a lovely circle casting. i may use some of your ritual steps and include them in my next group casting. your word choice is mesmerizing and perfect for reaching a meditative state of mind.
One thing I love the most about wicca is that its very free we have our own ways of doing things but we fallow the same laws and magic theres no one way is right thing there are so many spells you just need to find the ones that work for you and the tools too )o(Blessed Be)o(
This is such a beautiful circle casting ...what a beautiful space and garden ...... Thank you Thank you for sharing your circle with us ...it is so important to share our truths and ways ...so much love and joy towards you ...may you be blessed ....thank you ....Olivia
I am not into wicca instructionals.....as everyone has become an "expert" these days with YT..lol however, I do want to give you a compliment....you have a BEAUTIFUL ritual work area....cement circle with nice quadrant lamps and a lovely stone altar.....nice work dear Lady...
I am very new but growing fond of Wicca and am curious to know the purpose of the knife, and why you held it outwards of the circle as you walked to circle boundaries. Thank you Amethyst(:
@powerranger1085 Thanks for a great post. In fact, when I teach how to cast, I teach people to cast the circle around and outside the circle so that it is included inside the circle space. I didn't mention that in this video but that is included in the text which acompanies this video for my students. A good point though powerranger, thank you.
@southernmandave666 Hi, I just checked the sound and it's all there and others are able to hear it. May I suggest you check your volume controls? Many smiles, Amethyst
@Erennin When we cast the circle, we cast it around the alatr and indeed cast a wider circle than the paving area so that the altar and the gardens are also wihtin the cast and sacred circle space. :)
So you choose to walk in a clock-wise circle so you can open the circle to bring cosmic energy down into the group? This is for a ceremony to illuminate the particioners? Have you ever used casting a counter-clockwise circle?.... I know, I often test boundries, but have found profound results in doing so and would just like to inspire thought into the potentials of couter-clockwise circle casting and your feeling towards it....
thats a big circle !!! she must feel very capable to do one this size .. powerfull ..l make smaller ones but as my strength in myself has grown might try holding an expanding my energy farther out ..know ..thanks nice to see other witches craft ..
@DeathMind4 no you never start counter-clockwise when casting the Circle. counter clock wise is only used when releasing the circle. Blessed Be, hope your path is bright.
also you may wish to note that these rites are meant to be done in a quite space, and that trucks going past your backyard prevent such an environment from being acquired and thus creates an unstable circle. and i think you maye wish to look up how to summon the elementals again, every time you spoke to them there after you summoned them you can hear in the videos animals went balistic in the background. this to me is a sign that they feel disrespected and maybe you should find out if
I am curious if you were to create the fire yourself instead of with matches or a lighter would this not infusea great deal of energy into the circle rather then doing it the easy way and please the spirits and gods that you did it natually?
As Amethyst Treleven explained, you don't need an athame and/or wand, you can use your power hand instead (the hand the most energy flows through). When my alter has to be small for whatever reason I use both hands because equal energy flows through them. :3
Is this the same casting a circle, and closing the circle for a Hand fasting ceremony? I've been recently ordained as a reverend, and have been asked to do a Handfasting ceremony, and in every literature I've read, there is talk about casting a circle, and closing the circle. So can you help me in what would be the basic requirements for holding a successful Handfasting ceremony? I have till Oct 31st of this year to prepare, for my two best friends wedding on that date.
so though your methods are absolutely sound, i do wish point out that every time you reach for you're alter it is outside the circle and thus not blessed by the circle, also by leaning through the circle you are breaking the circle. once the circle is cast or being cast not may leave or enter without first creating a doorway with an athame (pronounced ath -ah-may). when the circle is broken it no longer exists, i become a figment of raw power which dissipates and disappears.
wonderful circle casting... i dont do castings or anything and i dont know of any wiccans in my area so i keep it to myself.. my parents dont even know because i dont want judging from anyone or have my parents say im delusional. blessed be.
thank u so much this video is very very helpfull Amethyst;_))) i am greek and i would like if you can to write down all what u say in this videos of casting a cicle, couz i like this words but i cant understand everything couz my english as greek is not pretty well.so if i have the text, i can watch it over and over again and learn it faster...please........!!!!♥
Oh and to those asking this could be done the same way for a group but just leave a space up and not complete the circle between the west and north watchtowers to allow others to enter then seal the circle after everyone has entered. Hope this helps. Love & Light!
So anyway back to circle casting, Shiva has a statue made of him I keep onmy alter, many aspectsof the shiva natarage have same meanings as the pentagram, like the flaming circle is symbolic of consciousness. However even still cast a circle anyway.
that is is case as i wouldn't want to hear about another incident which happened in the states where a coven summoned the fire spirits wrong and their place for their workings burnt flat. however i greatly appreciate you efforts to pas son the knowledge to a younger generation who need the information brought to them through a media they understand such as youtube. it is a profound thing for you to have done! i sincerly hope that any information i have given you dosent offend you, i merely
Your way to practice has a lot of influence seems very Celtic , found it very interesting because we see many cults of witches with Egyptian elements , Nordic , Greek and perhaps wicca is merging and perhaps becoming a religious syncretism. The wicca has Celtic roots. I found too beautiful ! Shame not to be in Australia.
@powerranger1085 @powerranger1085 Thank you for your comments re the noise. In fact I live beside a park and the birds yell all day long. The birds didn't yell more during the elemental calling, I just raised the audio of the video so you could hear me speaking. :)
I can't understand your spell, because I am not english-native speaker; I am a Northeast Asian. But I have some questions of you, if you don't mind. Do you do your ritual everyday? Do you believe nature deities as animism? Many people have worshipped traditianal gods in my country, although it has westernized for last 100 years. My country has no christain tradition. But yours is different from my homeland . Why did you become wiccan?
My Wiccan beliefs are a little odd, My patron's are Shiva and Shakti, Shiva the Shakti together create the living universe a being in it's own right an offspring of the gods, and we are the Universe's offspring therefore we havev a legacy connection to the universe and the gods. It's a twist on universal consciousness, I believe nature is the vessel of the spirit, if we do not pass into another plane or universe or back to this one, we reincarnate back into nature until we are ready.
In theory, you can embrace all that is and become what is referred to as an eclectic Pagan; however, insofar as being Wicca and trying to incorporate the ideals of modern Christianity would not work in my opinion. There are certain parts of the philosophy which conflict with Wicca philosophy; for instance, their concept of sin. I don't believe you should take only part of a philosophy, and cast off the rest, yet still call yourself living that philosophy, but that is just me. Blessed Be! B )O(

@goldenscales Inclusive Wicca is just the name of our tradition. We have solitaries and covens following this tradition.
Many smiles, Amethyst

I am very new but growing fond of Wicca and am curious to know the purpose of the knife, and why you held it outwards of the circle as you walked to circle boundaries. Thank you Amethyst(:
Beautiful ! I also love the music. moving on to #2. :)
beautiful ritual space!!! Thanks for sharing. Somehow I thought Southern Hemisphere circles were cast in the other direction (counter clockwise).

@DakWarrior1 Actually DeathMind4, in Australia, many covens start counter clockwise becasue down here the sun goes in a different direction.
What kind of bell are you using on your alter? I love it and Id like to get my hands on one that is similar.
can someone tell me if you could replace the athame for the wand and viceversa?
@Amethyst2Z Thanks for that! Goddess bless!
Namaste,
I agree with the others your sacred space is very beautiful. Wish I had a home instead of an apt so I could dedicate a space like that :)
thats a big circle !!!

Please define "Inclusive Wicca" for me. Does that mean Solitary, but others can participate, or "Just Me, Myself, and I"?
Do you visualise anything when you are walking around the circle with your athame?

@samirijojo it doesent matter where you cast the circle
thank you

i love how you kiss the objects before you use them.
@DarlingKerosene Please remember the other two videos that follow this one as then you'll have the full ritual )

@Erennin you can have one outside or inside.
@GemRiot Please help you what? :)
So....what exactly is "inclusive Wicca" and how does it differ from, say, Alexandrian or whatever?
Some of it reminds me of a catholic mass
that is what I was thinking, too
