The difference maker for drx was their mentality. They never gave up, not against any opponent, even when they odds were stacked them. They didn't blame each other for fucking up, they just built each other up and made each other better. Awesome worlds this year! gz deft and drx!
Fr bc lol I wanted to uninstall for the 1st time til next season this morning bc of another ranked game with trolls but this just reminded me again the game has a lot of mental and also you just gotta have a strong mental for everything in life. That being said watching pro LoL is still amazing, playing...
All thanks to the coaches, those guys convinced the team to not care or worry too much about winning and focus on having fun. I think their mental had a big role in their wins vs EDG, GEN, and T1. All 3 of those crumbled under the pressure and weight that was "losing to a 4th seed LCK team from Playins". After DRX takes 1 game the enemy team's mental slowly crumbles.

This finals is definitely one for the history books. This whole tournament had so many narratives that every time one team lost it left you a little sad on the inside. I was sad to see T1 lose but DRX played one hell of a series and I was happy to see this dream come true for deft.
5:05 is not ajoke. It's real. Right after worlds i got into lobby to play ranke and suddenly. SUDDENLY. LIKE SUDDENLY. Everyones playing like as though their in game 5. nobody was toxic. everyone was giving good feedback. our mid kept typing flash timestamps. Deft made a physical imprint in the league community. I think he single handedly made everyone switch mentality and start taking the game mroe seriously and be active and less toxic. Play-in team? Having LPL and LCK in the playins is honestly a bit of an iffy thing, as we truly limit the possibility of seeing any actual minor regions get through. This year is a testament to that. But it certainly should be an inspiration nontheless
basically my inspiration to play adc from season 4 onwards. I only wanted to play the champs he did. So happy for Deft and Drx. I’ve been following Lck all year and it’s been an exciting journey

honestly really happy about this year's worlds, albeit I was cheering for T1. Just having the most epic underdog story lol may ever have come to fruition is incredible. Sure we didn't get the story line of the unkillable demon king coming to claim the throne again come to fruition this was just as good, deft winning worlds after 10 gruling years and proving to the world he is better then the goat, now that is incredible.
It's funny when DRX we're on the come up I was like this gives me Serin High vibes from Kuroko no Basketball. Made it into the top 4 and still complete underdogs. But never did I think they'd actually win it all.
진짜 데프트가 대단하다. 주변 선수들이 하나 둘 씩 성과를 이루고, 내려오고 은퇴를 반복하는 과정에서 꺾일 만 하기도 했을 텐데 포기하지 않고 다시 할수 있는게 진짜 대단하다 매번 롤드컵 에서 탈락하고 한국에 돌아와 휴가 없이 솔랭 돌리 던 것도 , 본인이 떨어진 것도 힘들었을 텐데 팀 동료였던 선수들 축하 해주던 것도 불과 한달 전 까지만 해도 데프트는 이제 끝이라고 생각했는데 분명 못하는 원딜은 아니였지만 삼성 이디지때 보여준 압도적인 포스는 점차 사라지고 있었고 이젠 찰쳐줘야 3~4등정도 되는원딜 이라는 평가가 지배적이였다. 10년동안 그런경우를 너무 많이 봐왔기에 데프트 역시 그렇게 잊혀 질 줄 알았다. 근데 우승을 했네.. 삼성때부터 지금까지 데프트모습이 주마등처럼 스쳐지나간다 분명 다른 선수들 한테 , 오랫동안 본 롤유저들 한테 큰 감동을 줬던 우승 이였다. 진짜 대단하다.대단하다라는말밖에 못하겠다.

Are you referring to before he went to LPL then yes. He would get absolutely stomped by Imp in lane and then carry hard the team fights. Deft won DRX game two. And was immaculate in team fights making little to no mistakes.

I wanted Deft to win more than anyone else. Faker has too many titles so I wanted deft to at least get one before he retired.
That was the 1st finals I was like...Shiiii who do I want to win. Every play was so joyus yet painful at the same time. Every win and loss hurt.
